I see it. But, it's dumb the old dead'ish tree hasn't already been removed. Should have never been there IMO. The hole already has a short forced carry, bunker left and trees right. The tree IMO ruins the hole. It's like the designer was trying to be cute. Poor design. Can you imagine what your shot must have been like when it was a full healthy tree? There should be giant LOL sign nailed to it. Ridiculous.

It's hard to determine the distance, but the tree looks like it is only an obstacle for low shots.  My problem with the tree is that it appears to be in a hazard.  Hit it and you are taking a penalty shot.   However, it appears that the tree might not be inline with the green from the White or Forward tees.  The hole actually looks fairly short, so it looks easy to go over, and there seems to room to work the ball either way.  I have seen a lot worse holes in my travels though.

Can't be any more ridiculous than the 17th at Sawgrass surely?. At least their drop zone doesn't have a big LOL in the middle of it - hit the green and make a birdie says me.

Looks similar to me.

 

My initial take .. going by the picture only and not standing there thinking about how the heck to get a golf ball from here to the green .. is that the tree is more of a visual distraction....

Lots of large sized divots on tee box so appears people are hitting irons. Doesn't look too long. 160ish maybe?
