Newbie here!

[Liberty Ball Markers]

I finally decided to get in on the fun here. I turned 46 today, I live in Missouri ( just outside Kansas City), and belong to a group of area courses that I play on a single membership.

 

I started golfing in the 80's, and quit completely by the mid 90's (job, kids, etc), and just got back to it a few years ago.

 

I haven't done a witb yet, but it's old school... Titleist 712MB's (3-pw), Vokey wedges (I carry 52, 56, & 60, but rarely use the lob), Cobra King LTD driver, Cobra F6 3-wood, and a growing collection of Scotty's Studio Design 1 and 2's.

 

I'm sure that playing MB's will raise a question or two, but I started playing as a kid with 2nd hand Wilson FG17's and I can't get my head around these huge CB irons based on handicap. I also tried and hated hybrids... I like the blades, they give me confidence, and that's what matters to me. I might shoot 80 on a good day, and a bad day makes high 90's feel like a gift.

 

I really don't care for the whole handicap thing either - if you shoot 72 and I shoot 80, you beat me by 8. Simple as that.

 

I try to play 2-3 evenings a week, and always Saturday & Sunday mornings. My group plays year-round as often as the weather allows.

 

I'm not sure what else I need to tell you!
