Your Feedback Need: Face Impact Graphics

Hey Guys - I'm working on some graphics for some upcoming reviews. Basically, we're building a bit off the impact studies we published a bit ago and are looking to graphically represent face impact areas in reviews where that information is particularly relevant.

Here's 2 (actually 3) samples of what I've been working on.

impact-graphic-comparison.png

The top row is a simple chart format.

The bottom row shows two potential solutions. One with axis labels, one without.

The question I have for you is this:

Which of the 3 graphics provides you with the best visual representation of face impact area?

Just as an FYI, the red dot represents face center.

I agree. I like the images of the driver face and circles the best.

With or without axis labels doesn't matter to me. The visual with the center of face marked is enough. How many mm off doesn't mean much to me

What are the axis numbers representing ?  mm from the the focal point ?  I like having the numbers with the club face in the background.  Gives it a visual representation more so than then just the graphs.

Both labels represent mm from face center in lateral and vertical directions respectively.

I too like the club face pics better, gives better visual feedback to placement and striking location. For me, the top graphics in space don't bring home the info nearly as well

I agree with the bottom left corner example. We don't really need the axis labels when we can see how the impact relates, on the club face, to the red dot.

Add anointed vote for the bottom left. Pretty much tells me everything I need to know. I suppose some real in depth testers might want to know the exact mm off. But I think for most general purposes just the face and point of contact is enough.

Keep the club face. For most people it will be easier to understand as opposed to an axis chart.

Most defiantly the ones with the club face shown. My #1 pick is the bottom left. I wonder if you're able to make them where one can turn on/off the axis labels?

Definitely agree with adding the club face as a reference.  I think I prefer to see the axis markings as well, however.  Feel like it gives a better graphic representation of how far one can hit the ball off center (toe, heel, high, low) before it dramatically affects the performance.  (Understanding that all the off center hits will be a negative compared to dead solid perfect.)

"Where'd it go?"  "Right in the Lumberyard..."

The 4th one gives you a good idea where the ball was hit on the clubface.

I agree with Fox, 4th one from the left gives the most information in the most succinct fashion.
