Always on my phone and I have the Speck hard case.  True story:  My wife left her iPhone 6S on the trunk of her car.   Backed the car over the phone and it cracked the screen however the phone still worked. We took the phone to the Mall of Georgia in Atlanta and they replaced the screen. She drops her phone all the time however I thought the car accident over it would have done it in.

Used to use a lifeproof case. People had a hard time hearing me talk through it though (known issue). So went with some case from amazon that was shock, dust proof and water resistant. Worked great.

 

Now I have an iPhone 7 so don't need the water protection. I use a caseology one I got from amazon now. Slim and basic but does the job and it's always on

Otter box, when I got my s7 I need the protection, I have broken every smart phone i have ever owned. Hopefully this helps.

I don't put anything on the screen, but I bought a body glove hard/flexible case and it's worked for almost three years with no issues.

Definitely a case is a must when I first purchase a new phone. After the honeymoon phase is over in about a year, that case is coming off.

For you guys that like the naked look try Shumari extra slim case, like there is nothing on your phone, they claim to be the worlds thinnest case for your phone, 10% off first time buyers, only negative is they ship direct from Tokyo via snail mail so it takes a few weeks to get, every so often they discount them greatly and I buy a few different colors.

I have this one.   The only difference is that I have an actual old fashioned clock that displays in the cutout display when it's closed.   It turns off after :20 but I can see what time it is with just a tap of the screen,.

I drop my phone prettt much every time I touch it, so I have to have some kind of case. I have a Nexus 5, and I just use a slim case on it. It doesn't look very protective, but it's done the jon through more than a few drops.

 

I couldn't go naked. I'd be without a phone in a day or two.
