So permit me to inquiry, how many here have ever..... played with a persimmon driver and fairway woods used clubs and balls made by Spalding thought Callaways were different because the shaft went though the club head got to the course early to put a ball in the rack for a tee time watched the LPGA to see Laura Baugh and Jan Stephenson wore shoes with kilties wore shoes with medal spikes and enjoyed the sound of the click on hard surfaces used a 3 wheeled motorized cart steered with a flat handle as opposed to a wheel wore beltless pants some with a slight flair at the bottom never thought about forged versus cast didn't use a hybid because no one was making them Depending on how many you can answer yes, I will meet you on the senior tees. It would be my honor to play golf with you any time and you should play what ever tees you wish. But if you are older than me and can play the longer tees, I will be jealous. It would be my honor to play golf with you any time and you should play what ever tees you wish. But if you are older than me and can play the longer tees, I will be jealous. It all depends on the yardage for the longer tees. So permit me to inquiry, how many here have ever..... played with a persimmon driver and fairway woods yes, I still have my Cleveland Classics used clubs and balls made by Spalding no thought Callaways were different because the shaft went though the club head no, I never really noticed got to the course early to put a ball in the rack for a tee time yes watched the LPGA to see Laura Baugh and Jan Stephenson oh yes! wore shoes with kilties yes wore shoes with medal spikes and enjoyed the sound of the click on hard surfaces yes, and I still like the clack of clubs in a bag while walking and carrying used a 3 wheeled motorized cart steered with a flat handle as opposed to a wheel yes, the roll-over special design wore beltless pants some with a slight flair at the bottom no never thought about forged versus cast the were all forged back then didn't use a hybid because no one was making them yup Depending on how many you can answer yes, I will meet you on the senior tees. So my only two "no" answers were Spalding clubs (my first clubs were Sam Snead Blue Ridge, made by Wilson), and beltless pants (never wore them, although I did wear flared pants in the 70's). I'm turning 61 in just a couple of weeks, and still playing the regular men's tees. They had a little spiral-like thing where you dropped your ball in the top to set your order on the tee. When your ball got to the bottom, it was your turn to play. So permit me to inquiry, how many here have ever..... played with a persimmon driver and fairway woods. YES used clubs and balls made by Spalding YES a 2 iron still in my garage thought Callaways were different because the shaft went though the club head. Never thought about it got to the course early to put a ball in the rack for a tee time. YES watched the LPGA to see Laura Baugh and Jan Stephenson. YES loved Jan wore shoes with kilties. YES they actually kept dirt out of laces wore shoes with medal spikes and enjoyed the sound of the click on hard surfaces. YES and can still remember the sound used a 3 wheeled motorized cart steered with a flat handle as opposed to a wheel YES very easy to flip wore beltless pants some with a slight flair at the bottom. YES Sansabelt baby! never thought about forged versus cast. YES didn't use a hybid because no one was making them YES Depending on how many you can answer yes, I will meet you on the senior tees.
