CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) - It's a good news, bad news situation for Callaway Golf in Chicopee.
Callaway Golf Company, formerly known as Top-Flite, announced it's restructuring because of a drop in business.
It has already closed several facilities, but luckily the one is Chicopee, where about 450 people work, wasn't one of them.
Chicopee Mayor Michael Bissonnette says they're doing everything they can to make sure it stays that way.
"We're going to continue to work with Callaway particularly on energy costs. Callaway is going to negotiate with the union on labor costs and benefit costs, and hopefully we can come to some way to make Callaway corporate to continue to make the decision that Chicopee is a good and profitable location," Bissonnette said.
Callaway is restructuring over the next 18 months. During that time more changes will likely be made.

Massachusetts is safe, but California is gone. Im still done with the company. If they move even one plant outside of the US, thats one too many.
Nothing helps you find a lost ball better than a provisional hit straight down the middle.

You'd think a fantasy team with Webb Simpson, Rory, Hunter, Graeme McDowell & Louis Ousthauizen would do some serious damage at the Player's. Well, they did, but not the kind of damage you want...
