Something like a small chat room to exchange a few lines with other fellow members and maybe comment on the game we are all watching on TV. If bandwidth is an issue, apply some kind of time filter to avoid flooding. I plan on updating the forum in the near future so it will have to unfortunately wait until then. Do you see on the right side where we can type in our status update? But as soon as you type a new one, the old one is deleted? A shoutbox would work in a similar way, except that your previous status or message wouldn't be deleted. In other words, it's just a chat box in the forums so people online can chat instantly instead of creating a new thread and replying to it or sending private messages. It would be visible to all and it's just a faster way to talk trash during tournaments or golf games.
