Played the other day with friends, after the 9th hole, which swings back by the club house, we all stop. Varied orders, a chili dog, a power aid, ham/cheese sandwich, couple beers, everyone ordering different things.

Just wondering, do folks have specific things they grab at the turn before heading to the 10th? Reload on balls? Beer, food, drinks..just shoot it out!

Seriously, think about the above quote. 80% of the people that I meet in a day have "quit," and they're just goin through the motions, waitin for their heart to stop beating. It's sad!

I always get something, but it depends on where I am. The one thing that does stay consistent is the beer; 3 a side if I'm driving, 6 a side if I rode with someone to the course. The food goes as follows.

Clearcrest - Egg salad sandwich (the best on the planet)
Fendrich - Chicken salad sandwich
Helfrich - German bologna w/pepper jack cheese
Eagle Valley - 2 hot dogs with their homemade sweet and spicy relish
Any other course - Hot dog

Fendrich and Helfrich are the city courses and they have $1 16oz Keystone drafts, so I'll have a few of those before and after the round, again as long as I'm not driving.

I usually grab a Gatorade, occasionally a brat. Rarely drink on the course anymore which results in a problem for those rounds of "beer golf" where I used to excel. Now when I get more than a couple beers in me I really notice it. It messes up my timing and my game goes down hill! Need to work on my drinking I guess!

I do not get the same thing every time at the turn, but I do start the round the same everytime. At the turn, while everyone else is inside getting their stuff, I may grab a diet coke, but I total the front scores and wagers because they all ask where they stand when when we start the back 9. Since some of this can get complicated, I have to keep two score cards, because we have two different bets.

After the first 18, I will drink a beer while totaling the wagers, then act as accountant to collect the bets. All bet money goes into the pot, and the winner gets the money, but pays the bar bill. Generally, we are pretty nice but if someone really played well, and made a lot of money from everyone, than we have revenge drinking, and make the winner pay.

After that I usually play 9 more holes and drink water. However, lately the guys have wanted to play again, and this time we do not spend an hour in the bar afterwards.

+1 on the Keystone drafts..That was my top selling draft..I have a feeling that the reason was due to the price($1.25/.75 happy hour) vs. the taste, though I never asked why, just kept 'em comin..lol...Fairways & Greens 4ever.....

If I stop it is to get something fast and take with me to the 10th tee, drink & hot dog normally. It can be tricky getting food to go when walking so it is kinda rare if i grab anything, maybe a drink only if the 19th hole is not that far out of my way making the turn.

He fell out of the cart laughing when I hit my 3rd 90º into the woods... I was hitting I was hitting my 5th before he hit his 2nd. WORST HOLE I'VE EVER PLAYED...
