If so, which ones in particular?

Also, do you at times find yourselves using your practice clubs during an actual round? For me, this applies to my driver. I've been enjoying my Taylormade Superdeep so much that I can't kick it out of the bag.

I don't. That's just personal preference though. I think George Halas said it best: "Don't Do Anything In Practice That You Wouldn't Do In A Game." I have always believed that, which is why I use my regular set during my practice rounds.

I rotate the sets I've kept. They were chosen for different characteristics and I change sets for the sake of change. It's just a way of staying interested, like changing girl friends. :P

My wife will not let me have a girl friend, kind of narrow-minded about that but....

I have no intentions of changing clubs once I finally get the shafts in this set figured out. Exchanging the C Tapers for KBS Tours tomorrow to try for a week. I have played different sets trying to decide which ones would be my gamers, but I would generally just play and practice with one set. I may rotate clubs in the past but I do not have the need to do that anymore. I would take out the 3 wood and add a wedge, but now I have 13 clubs that i do not change. I have two putters that I rotate some.

Practice and play with the same set - echo the George Halas quote. I do rotate wedges in and out of the lineup -- if they misbehave they get benched.

I personally like to practice with the gamer set. The only time I use a different set is when I'm on vacation and use the back-up I have at my parents or my in-laws. When traveling to some sort of resort, I always prefer to take my own clubs instead of renting.

Our club champion practices with Cobra blades for ball-striking and plays tournaments with Ping i10 or i15. Make practice hard to improve, but use easier clubs to score.

I have two putters currently and soon probably to be getting a 3rd from SeeMore to test and try. My putters are different weights and different lofts, use them depending on what might work best on the greens. I tend to like one over the other and use it 90% of the time. I am excited to get fit and give the SeeMore putters a try might just find my new gamer.

I have a 3 iron that sometimes gets rotated into the bag, in practice rounds it is already in the bag but have not had a chance to hit it much on my home course, I have to pull it out just to try it from time to time. So in a practice round you might find me with 16 clubs in the bag (3 iron extra and a putter extra), come money game or tournament round I get it to 14 easily. If it is my home course and i need to have 14 the 3iron and my Scotty Putter stay in the trunk of my car.

Sorry W/S I don't need 'the blades... and the backups' I'll just take the blades :)

I don't rotate my irons, though I do rotate, depending on the course, between my 18.5* hybrid, RBZ 3i(21* strengthened +1*(20*)) & Adams XTD Super Hybrid 21*.....I have a 3-putter rotation, going between a Scotty Circle T Black Newport Beach/sound slot, Callaway ProType PT82(Limited Edition) & I've been experimenting with a 42" belly, Scotty Fastback 1.5 (custom shop) which I converted from a 35"(HW:380gr).....

I really like the belly from 15' in though I find distance control on lags challenging...I know that I should either put it in my bag & run with it or put it away...I'm a mental basket case right now because I used the WS 9082 for the better part of 31 years(1974-2005) & while I'm not getting any three putts, I'm killin myself from 10-15'...Four years ago I was 38% from 15' & now I'm @ 8%...Anyway, that's my bag...Fairways & Greens 4ever...

The only thing I change is wedges and fairway woods due to course setup. And of course putters. I've got close to 20 putters and they all get course time depending on how I feel at the time.
In The Bag:
Driver: TaylorMade Superfast 2.0 version 2 LCG w/ Grafalloy BiMatrix Tour Proto X-flex
3+ wood: 13* Nike SQ w/ Aldila NV 85X tipped to spec
5 wood: 18* Nike SQ2 Monorail w/ Talamonti PD80 Tour X tipped to spec
4 Hybrid: 4/21 TaylorMade Rescue11 set to neutral w/ Talamonti H100 X tipped to spec
5-PW Adams A4 Tour Black w/ Dynamic Gold Tour Issue S400 hardstepped once, bent to trad. lofts
GW: 51 degree Ping Eye2 BeCu w/ TiSandvick Titanium Stepless X flex
SW: 56 degree Scratch Tour Dept 1018 w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner (CC grooves)
LW: 60 degree Scratch Tour Dept. 1018 w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner (CC grooves)
XW: 64 degree Callaway V-Forged Vintage w/ Dynamic Gold X100 Tiger Stepped (CC grooves off tour van)
Putter: Right now? Scotty Cameron Newport Beach 2 Prototype Centershaft 33.75" w/ Super Stroke USA Ryder Cup Slim

Have a ton of back-up putters and always play with 14 clubs, above are what's in the rotation. And yes, I'm a club *****.

I never used to hit range balls with my wedges, until I started building my own and realized that I can build three wedges for the cost of a single wedge off the rack. I also don't hit my woods unless the air temperature is above 45*.

I play and practice with same clubs. There are times I might leave out a club or 2 depending on the condition, however, it is hard enough to play this game, switching a clubs between practice vs. real doesn't make sense to me.

I figure via practice, I get to know my clubs, and use it during a real round...if I use one set for practice, the gamer might show different characteristics.

Of course, don't have enough funds to keep 2 nice sets of clubs anyways.

I'm with everyone else here - practicing with a different set makes no sense to me unless I'm planning on using that set. I will on very rare occasion use my Ping Eye 2 irons for old times sake - but that's like riding a bike - a couple of swings and it's the mid-80's and I'm thinking, "I should quit my day job and hit the mini-tours." But I'm happy I kept the day job and that I still have these old friends kicking around the house for a retro day. Interestingly I have no desire to use a persimmon driver or balata titleist. ;)

Like others I have alternate clubs, a 60 degree wedge with less bounce than my 59, a 5 wood vs. a 3 hybrid, that will make it into the bag depending on course conditions or the course I'm playing but I'd hardly consider that practice with different clubs - they are as for real as the ones that normally come with. I'll intentionally practice with all of the ones I use from time to time just in case the occasion arises where they are needed.
