Moecat
http://www.businessinsider.com/kim-jong-un-demands-more-mini-golf-2012-8 South Korean media has picked up on an unusual aspect of Kim Jong-un's time in office — his big plans for mini-golf. JoongAng Daily cites official news reports that suggest Kim “looked around for places to build mini-golf courses" during a recent trip to Rungna People's Pleasure Ground, an amusement park. The South Korean newspaper also points towards a curious document featured in a recently released documentary. Titled “Report on the Procedure of Building Mini-Golf Equipment", the document reportedly featured hand-drawn plans by Kim himself. While little is really known about Kim's interests and motivations, this apparent love of mini-golf fits into a growing narrative of playfulness. The North Korean Supreme Leader has recently appeared at a state-concert featuring Disney characters and the theme from Rocky, publicly paraded his pop-singer wife, and been photographed at an amusement park. While this soft side of his character might be somewhat endearing, it may not help him gain respect within North Korean elites. A recent Chosun Ilbo story about the growing power of his uncle, Jang Song-taek, concluded: Meanwhile, Kim Jong-un appears besotted with a new amusement park in Pyongyang and has conducted four on-site visits so far this year, with pictures from the latest beamed around the world. "Kim has no major accomplishments under his belt and seems to be touting the amusement park to highlight how much attention he is paying to the people," a government official here said. RoverRick
I remember playing mini golf as a kid and it was a lot of fun. Also, during our club tournaments, the pro often sets up a mini golf course on the practice green using tees and strings and little piles of sand and even some plastic flowers. After you finish your round you get to play the mini course and the lowest score get some prize. Mini golf is fun and I do not loose near as many balls. Then again, I never had to go to a labor camp after beating my brother. @GolfSpy_WD
dru_
Just make sure to take your own putter. Those rubber covered mallets they use at mini-golf courses are evil for your game! ZenGolfer
I still play mini golf from time to time with my fiance. Its a lot of fun. Even still, Kim Jong-Un sounds like a wacko. How about you feed your starving citizens before you build mini golf courses anywhere and everywhere? Maybe the North Koreans will reach their breaking point the same way Filipinos reached theirs. Shambles

ZenGolfer
can you imagine playing a round with Kim Jong??? you'd better let that guy win!!!!!! I fully would expect the holes to be rigged with all kinds of traps to make sure that he wins. Shambles
I fully would expect the holes to be rigged with all kinds of traps to make sure that he wins. All he would need would be his magic pencil. There will be no questions as to what score he records. Shambles
ZenGolfer
All he would need would be his magic pencil. There will be no questions as to what score he records. Shambles No doubt. Id expect the holes to have various trap doors, movable gates that stop my ball and some kind of a piston in the hole that knocks my ball back out of the hole if I should happen to sink my putt. Considering his dad had 3 aces in the same round, I probably wouldnt stand a chance even straight up anyways. Fairways & Greens 4ever.... Youd be surprised. His dad was pretty wackadoodle too. If you remember, his dad was the one who claimed that he got 3 aces in the same round. Golfasian
This guy may turn out to be benign, he is at least entertaining so far. Maybe he plans to open the country up as a tourist destiination, pair the mini-golf with casinos or something (go-carts too). Last hole positioned right between two landmines (deactivated of course). Did anyone see his girlfriend's smash hit video "excellent horse like lady", good stuff.
