Golf in Bagan,

The Bagan region of Myanmar is famous for all of its beautiful temples and pagodas, more than 3,000 of them, is the perfect setting for an epic round of golf. The Bagan Golf Resort is connected with the courses in the area and offers transportation and even loans out bicycles to facilitate further exploration of the area. It's still pretty quiet for most of the year, very relaxed environment and pace of life, worth checking out before tourism catches on too strong.

Interesting.  I played in Thailand and they have some wonderful courses.  I know that Myanmar is beautiful as well, but because of their lack of infrastructure (in the country in general) I'm curious to how their courses are.  Pictures look great from what I've seen and I guess when it comes to entertainment and especially with tourist, there's plenty of money to be spent on construction and upkeep.  I'm planning a trip back to SE Asia sometime next year.  Maybe I'll check our Myanmar if I have time.
