I am curious about the Footjoy Spidr 2 Golf Glove that is new this season. Has anyone seen them in person yet? The palm looks super textured and different. I like FJ gloves for fit (Cadet Large, thanks for asking) and I just wanted to see if this was worth searching for or ordering bling from GPP.

I wear a Cadet also (XL) - scary.

I haven't gamed it yet, but I plan on heading down to Dick's today to get a glove. If they have them then I will buy one and put it into play later this week or this weekend.

I wonder if these make you putt better with a spider putter? It looks nice but it will be hard to bump the Taylor Made Targa Tour from my bag. The durability and sweat wicking are too good.

I find that in general, the FJ gloves fit my hand better than the TM.
I am going to give the Srixon player's glove serious look too after a buddy's recommendation

To me size doesn't really matter, I use XXL size anyway, I like my gloves loose.

Really? Doesn't the grip move around on you with the glove being too big for your hand?

I ended up at Golf Galaxy today and tried on the Footjoy Spidr 2. For me, it wasn't a comfortable fit (too tight) and I didn't like the feel of the materials. I ended up taking advantage of a 2 for $20 deal on the Nike Tech Extreme.

They fit me like a... wait for it... glove.

Was it super rough on the palm?

There was some texture there, but the biggest issue for me was that the entire glove wasn't very soft. It wasn't something that I'd look forward to having on my hand for four hours.

I have fairly average hands, but even then i should be using a M or L size. They shrink a little, but I just like big gloves, they are what I have always used and the feel right. I don't like having my hands squeezed by a golf glove, and I've never had an issue with sliding. I've read Golf Digest articles that said that everyone uses a glove that is too big, so they should get smaller gloves, but I like the big ones.

That is surprising, FJs are usually quite comfortable...

Dude, you have a lot of issues. There's this... and then that Ostrich thing. Anything else you care to share? Get it all out. One of the Twelve Steps I believe.

Yeah, I was surprised by that too. Not one of their better efforts IMHO. But you should try it for yourself (obviously).
