Is fitting static between sets of clubs?

Recommended Posts

I was in this fall and was fitted for my current gamer irons. After the fitting I'm loving the way my irons are playing and I want to tweak my backup set to match.

My question is between different sets of irons, does a fitting translate from one to the next? Or do certain specs change based on different heads? i.e. Is D5 always the best swing weight for me? Same for shaft flex, length, loft and lie?

I would think most of it should translate. Length, definitely. Lie, very very likely. The swingweight you like shouldn't change. Shaft might be the one thing, but even that isn't too likely unless the type of head you're playing changes dramatically.

Thanks Matt, that's what I was looking for.
