It looks like a Klingon Cutter, and a Rambo Lighter, and the spring-loaded cigar holder reminds me of Patrick Wayne's holster in Big Jake. That is all the movie references that come to mind.

Black wind-proof, high altitude Stratosphere lighter

I get the wind-proof part, believe I fought a Zippo all weekend and it is so much better than a standard lighter. I meant to get a windproof today but forgot. So I understand the need for a wind-proof lighter but high altitude. Seriously, if you are at an altitude where you need a special lighter to light your cigar should you really be smoking?

Great question. From what I understand, and if someone knows better they can correct me, that there are many lighters that just do not work at 7500 feet. There are many cities in the United States that are above that in elevation. Besides that, they appeal to people who have hobbies like skiing. You would not smoke while you ski obviously, but most of the time they would stay at a lodge with high elevations. It also appeals to troops overseas. I know troops in Afghanistan like the Stratosphere because it works up to 12,000 feet, allowing them to smoke when they want to. Hope that helps!

It was not really a serious question. Your hope that helps line almost makes me feel badly about poking fun at the lighter.:)

Actually, while in college my girlfriend took me to her parents cabin in Cloudcroft NM elevation 8668 feet and I started the grill with a Bic lighter. Cloudcroft if one of the highest towns in the US. Regular lighters work fine up to 10,000 ft. Above that not only do the lighters not work, but the only thing up there to burn you have to carry with you. But it is nice to know that if I ever climb Mount Everest, and wish to have a cigar on the top, or move to Leadville, Colorado or Quito Ecuador, they have a lighter that I can light my cigar with. Too bad, I will not have enough breathe to inhale. :P

We also played golf Cloudcroft, NM, and the first tee box was at least 200 feet above the green. It looked like you could use a wedge and get it there. There is a sign that says "Use the driver...." Sure enough I hit the ball and it looked like it was going to leave the country, and when it finally landed it was well short of the green.
