Thanks, I've been on staff with Nike since late 2011. I have really liked the way their product has gone over the years since they came into the industry. I have been on staff with Adams, Bridgestone, and Taylor Made in the past.

Has Nike sent you any of the new balls yet? HUGE improvement based on the limited testing I've done so far. Unfortunately, they're resistant to neither water nor woods, but otherwise much improved.

 

Apart from the VR Limited (in my bag now, but like everything else it's misbehaving badly), I love to see those Matrix shafts. The m3 line kills spin like no other shaft I've tried so far.

 

How are those HM2s working for you? I'm hoping to try the HM3 one of these days.

It has a really solid feel, eerily close to the original Whiteboard that I had before, good dispersion and low spin. I have only gotten a few shots with it so far since the weather hasn't been great.

I have a few sleeves of the new 20XI but it isn't ideal golf weather here so I am going to hold off on the full testing. They are a lot better feeling off of the putter than the first generation.

 

I really like the HM2, so much that I keep putting off ordering the HM3. I figure I may do it this coming season, curiosity always gets the best of me.

Great looking set of clubs! I have to say, when I got into golf I never really was much of a Nike guy. Recently though, I have found myself more and more interested in their new products. I have tested a few that I really liked, particularly some of the drivers and woods. I don't see any reason why Nike won't be a consideration come next spring when I'm in the market for some new woods and a driver.

Ah Dude, you hit the pin! Though I've had season tickets first under my father, than I got 'em when I got back to Pittsburgh for the Pens, the Flyers have always been my fave team.

 

Steve Durbano! Bob Kelly! The Hammer! Bill Barber! Bernie & "The Fog" man! Man I couldn't skate a lick, and played football, but I loved those guys, especially Kelly, and my football number was #9 till I had to take a linebacker's number in 9th grade. That wild-ass hair & his hands taped like a fighter's, and guys would literally skate away from him instead of fighting, When's the last time that ya saw an NHLer do that, even if they're not a fighter? I was heart broken when he ended up in Pgh, though obviously I got to see him play alll of time.

 

And I was so happy when the Reckin Ball got traded to 'em. He's a member at my club now though back then he would play as a guest of a man(the team neurosurgeon) who's daughter he would eventually marry, and he's the classiest guy that you'd ever want to meet. And he hits a nice ball. He can play.

 

Anyway, great to have ya in the forum.

 

BTW, how do ya like the LE driver? I had one, traded it & just got another one. I'm debatin spendin the $$ on a shaft. You don't really know me, though the last thing that I need is another driver, though damn, it's purdy!

I really like the LE, sounds a lot more solid than the VR Tour that I have. I just have a great amount if confidence with it so it will be hard to convince myself to change.

 

The lockout is killing me although getting some money back on my tickets should make for a nice holiday season for the family.

Yea, tell me about it. I'm applyin mine to next year, though what really sux is that at this time of year forward, the hockey games are a lot more comfortable than the football.

 

So are the Eagles tired if Michael Vick 2.0? How bout Reid? I thought that he was on the hot seat comin into this season.

Well, after my visit to the Callaway facility, testing at the ECPC, and a round of golf at The Crossings at Carlsbad, I have decided to join Callaway's staff this season. So far I have received the Razr Fit Xtreme driver, an 18 degree X Utility, and 2013 X Forged 3-PW irons. I am waiting on an X Hot Pro 3 wood, a 52 and 58 degree wedges, a Versa #9, and my new bag. I'm hoping the red X Hot staff bag is released, it looks really good. If not, it will be the white X Hot bag.

Obviously, you like the irons, though was there any adjustment going from forged blades to the higher profile?

 

I mean, I'd figure the "feel" would be different, however upstairs/mentally, was there any adjustment?

There was an adjustment, I have always played blades, but having a one year old takes away the time I would spend practicing. I just made sure when I was at Callaway that I would be able to control the trajectory as easily with these and I was impressed with the flight and how easy it was to keep them down when I wanted to. The overall feel is pretty much the same, a nice forged iron, so that hasn't been as much of an adjustment.

You're getting me interested in those! I didn't like the looks of them the first time I saw them compared to the previous model. It's growing on me though. It looks like they might play more similar to a blade than the last model would. I will say I'm tired of the "X" in everything they put out. I love the 18* X Utility I picked up. Very easy to hit. Can you get weights for that club? Mine has the 6 gram in it, and I would like to put the 8 in. I'm putting a KBS in it and I'll see what it feels like first though.

Shoot, thought they said you could get 2,4,6,or 8 gram weights for it. But yea, I haven't seen a weight kit for it. I'm not sure if the weights for the driver are the same. I've found those.

I want to try those wedges. Not sure they have as much relief on the sole as I like. Hard to tell from pictures cuz I know they have it and they smoothed the transition into the bounce. They might have more than it looks like. Have to get my hands on them to see if I like. At least they don't have a big X on them, as far as the looks go!
