Hey welcome aboard from someone in New Mexico as well! I've never found a forum with more respect for each other than this one. I've gotten so tired of the whining and personal attacks you see on other sites, I don't even waste time on them. You'll enjoy this one.

Oh P.S., I should be stated that it's required reading to go through the "Distinguished Gentlemen! Check this add out!" thread! :o Well, not really. I know, it's grown incredibly long. But if you want to get to know some people here, that's the place. Nothing really off topic, just a place to shoot the bull.

Not to answer for him, but it'll be about 50* today there. I was planning on going in to play, but I have bronchitis coming back for another round now that the weather is nice. Feb. and early March can have some really nice days. But it can be cold and windy too. Just depends on the weather for the day.

I've been wanting to do some golfing in New Mexico. Not far from Oklahoma!

Have you played this course? What suggestions do you have on other courses in New Mexico?

Seriously, think about the above quote. 80% of the people that I meet in a day have "quit," and they're just goin through the motions, waitin for their heart to stop beating. It's sad!

Hi Christian,

I've played there a couple of times. I really like the course. Great service too. They won't let you walk it. Their carts have GPS in them though. Last time I was there was in May I think. My cousin works there and she gave me a couple of passes. It's $85 otherwise if I remember right. It's more challenging than the muni courses I've played here. I wouldn't call it really tough though. It has a couple of elevated tees that are fun. One of the best rated in the country is on my side of the mountains East of Abq. and is known for being very challenging and a beautiful course. That's Paako Ridge. It's about the same elevation as where I live, about 6600 feet. http://www.paakoridge.com/ That's one I would like to play this summer. I thought I would get more time to play last summer and maybe get there, but I hardly got out at all. I haven't played all the local courses yet to have a whole lot to tell you. One other I liked was Isleta. http://www.hardrockc...ities/golf.aspx It is three 9 hole courses and you pick whichever two you want to play to make 18. I played 54 holes there one day with my father-in-law and brother-in-law! My only gripe about it was the bunkers. They had rocks mixed in with what they call "sand". I put a gouge in my 6i hitting a shot out of a fairway bunker on a rock just under the surface in front of the ball I couldn't see. Other than that, it was in good condition and a fun course. For as nice as the rest of the course is, the bunkers are a disappointment. I used my 60* with less bounce than my 56* because it was just about like hitting off hardpan. I did OK once I figured that out after my first attempt that skipped the club into the ball.
