R11/R11S tip adapter compatibility

Recommended Posts

I am looking at buying a new shaft for my TM R11 Driver. I currently have stock Fujikura Blur 60 Reg Flex and think it is soft for me. I've been reading and have found people that say too soft tends to cause you to be open and block to the right and others that say it whips through to early and results in a pull hook. The pull hook is my miss. I rarely block a shot to the right and I like mid launch and tend to hit a slight draw. I haven't been on a simulator in quite a while but I used to swing around 100-105 mph. I am looking at some online and want to know a couple of things.

Can I buy a shaft fit with an R11S adapter to fit into my R11?

Any recommendations on a good shaft I could try without spending a fortune? I plan on getting a new driver with proper fitting in a year or two but for now its not in the cards.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks for any help.

get the R11s adapter, it's better than the older R11.

About shafts, you can go to your local golf shop and just ask for recommendations, if you won't get fit.

But Mitsubishi rayon shafts are one of the best in the world.

R11s adaptor supposedly offers more adjustment but R9, R11, & R11s shafts and sleeves are interchangeable. I have the R9 Super Deep and R11 and swap shafts all the time. And most sleeves I have are R11s. RBZ sleeves are the same but green. Have also used that on the R11 head.

Yes the R11s tip will work so will the RBZ tip. Not the stage 2, the original, also the R 9 tip will work, make sure that you get the correct hand, they make LH And RH tips, it will be printed n the tip, and yes you can use the RH tip in a LH club, in case that matters, the settings are just opposite except for The N settings.

Shafts, recently bought the graffalloy bi-matrix prototype shaft, mainly because of the torque, which keeps the head from twisting so much in my downswing. The cost on this shaft is $70, they aren't top of the line but for an inexpensive driver shaft

They work very well. And since you are not looking to spend a fortune on a shaft , it could be a good alternative. Something you could do as well, is go to a local fitter and ask questions about what he might think will work for you, they will give good advice, and then you can search the Internet for a shaft that has the specs you are looking for, and find one that fits the budget. There are literally thousands of different shafts out there, and equally as many price points, so there is something out there you just have to find it. Good luck in your search.

If you're hunting for shaft deals look up Golf Vortex seller on eBay. I picked up a couple aldilas last year pretty cheap. They're the authorized reseller for Tour Edge and work out of the same building. All real deal none of that made for stuff either. Just gotta watch for them. I picked up a Rip'd NV and Rip Beta both for 120 shipped
