Taylormade Sleeves

Recommended Posts

Right now I have the R11 sleeve on my RIP red eyes shaft but Im planning on getting the RBZ Stage 2 which will need a new adapter. This might be a dumb question but can I just have the old sleeve pulled and replace it with the new one? Does pulling the Taylormade sleeve do any damage to the shaft or is it basically the same as pulling from an old Driver?

If the tech knows what they're doing, you can swap the adapters with zero issues.

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

If you are wondering if you can do it yourself, based on your question, I would not recommend it.

Reshafting graphite shafts, specially small tipped driver shafts requires a lot of patience and medium lighter.

I highly recommend you look for a taylormade tech if you can and not just one from Golf Galaxy or Golfsmith.

Because they themselves can burn your shaft and they won't be responsible since they make you sign an agreement that it's your risk.

Good luck.

The R11 Sleeve has a plastic ferrule that will more than likely be ruined. These sell for like $5. The sleeve is aluminum so you can heat it and pull the sleeve off. It takes 150* to break the epoxy bond but remember the shaft is also held together with epoxy. It melts at like 160-170. So you must be very careful. You can end up with a tipped 3W shaft very quickly. :D and you have to pull it straight off. No twisting.

Any golf store can do it if you do not have the equipment.
