Just so there are no misunderstandings, everyone is welcomed to attend any amount the can. If you want to drive two hours from Houston or 3 from Dallas etc. and wish to play Saturday afternoon and go back home that is great also. It is just $40.

IF you are going to spend the night then yes, call and have them hold a room. If you just show up for the day, let me know so I can include you in the tee times.

For those that will be there; I wish the sun to shine lightly upon your day, the wind to blow softly upon the course. May ye all ave the merriest round o your lives. Most of all may there be merriment and whisky. Long drives, smart putts, and low scores.

 

I really want to be there but alas things beyond my control have claimed me. As the old saying goes 'Is fheàrr teicheadh math na droch fhuireach.' or Better a good retreat than a bad stand. It it were a bit closer I would try to make a round but I cannot be gone from the home front for more than a couple of hours starting this Thursday.

I am leaving for the Texas Open in a few minutes. After several months, ok, a couple of years of drought, the rains arrived yesterday. Not where the Open is being held but 100 or so miles from there the possibility exists for 5 - 9 inches of rain. Oh well, we have rain gear and if we get wet playing golf the hotel is right there.
