You got to take a look at the companies last week over on the blog, but I wanted to give our forum members a shot at seeing the actual competitors before anyone else.

For the next six days, including later today, I will reveal five putters, culminating with the blog article and results next week.

 

You probably picked the company that you thought would win. Are you sticking with that pick now that you see the putters?

Of Day 1 choices I like the Bettinardi Signature 5.

On another note, I'm going to struggle to wait until the 'Ts' to hopefully see the beautiful DG Proto :(

I don't know if I could pick one for looks out of the first five. But if I had to play one, I think I would go with the Bettinardi Signature 5.

What's with the sloppy weld bead on the Byron and the smeared paint fill? Is there a face insert? It looks like one piece but with a weld for some reason.

Byron cut a sound slot through the putter and then welded the top of the slot closed. VERY interesting effect on tone and feel, especially when compared to my other slotted 006's.

We have a new leader in my opinion, the Gauge Design Devon. I love the Copper. It would be awesome with some Copper Cally wedges.

While none of day 3's did it for me like the Betti Sig 5 and the GD G2 Devon, I would not be surprise to learn that I aimed the Odyssey Versa # 2 better than any of them. I found that the mallet type putters or those with a line parallel to the putting line was not as easy for me to align as the putters with a strong line perpendicular to the line of putt.

 

I have never even seen one of the in the store, well, I have seen them but never picked it up. I probably should.

Liking the midnight method and the tank 1. Those are more in my ballpark of affordability but one day ill get the pennies to get the machine or gauge design ones

The STX is interesting, especially because of the performance of the STX in the ultimate mallet review. A very nice range, but still waiting for my beauty tomorrow (hopefully)!
