Here is a pretty close look, like 99%, to what the new 2014 Taylormade SLDR will look like. See if you can spot any difference.

A couple of quick observations.. The weight port reminds me of the weight ports on the older Adams Idea Pro hybrids. The face shape is reminiscent of older Titleist fairways.. I'll wait to see it in person, and hit it before forming any opinions..

What I tote around the golf course..

Driver -  :taylormade-small: R9 SuperDeep TP 9* Fubuki 63s 45" Set to N

Fairway -   :taylormade-small:     SLDR - S 3HL 17*

Hybrid -  :cleveland-small:  22* Hibore AeroTech SteelFiber 75i Stiff

Irons -  :adams-small: CB1 Pro Black 5-9 Project X Flighted 6.0 Std length, 1* flat

That's not 99% what it looks like, that's it and what Dustin Johnson was testing. Same blue/grey crown graphics and they are using the T20 torx security key weights from the RBZ series in that port with the gold rings from the Superfast 2.0 line-up.

I love how they call it SLDR and there's no sliding weight.

In The Bag
Driver: TaylorMade SLDR 430 12* (w/ toe screw) w/ Project X Handcrafted LZ16
Strong 3 wood: Taylormade SLDR TS 13* with Aldila NV 75X
3 Hybrid: Adams Super LSP 18* (bent to 17*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
4 Hybrid: Adams Super LSP 20* (bent to 21*) w/ KBS Tour Hybrid S flex tipped 1/2"
5-7I : Tour Issued Adams CB2 w/ Dynamic Gold Tour issue S400 hardstepped 1x
8-GW: Tour Issued Adams CB1 w/ Dynamic Gold S400 hardstepped 1x

SW: 56* Cleveland CG12 (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
LW: 60* Cleveland CG12 (CC grooves) w/ Dynamic Gold Spinner
Putter: Mannkrafted Widebody Rattler 34", 71* lie, 4* loft

Have a ton of back-ups in all categories, but there are always 14 clubs in the bag that differ depending on the course and set-up. Bomb and gouge. Yes, I'm a club gigolo.

Sorry, not the real deal. This is NOT it, but only like I said about 1% of difference from the real thing.

It looks identical to the one he was hitting on the range. Only difference I see is his was a 3 wood and that's a tour spoon (strong lofted 3 wood).

Either way, I can't tell the difference in that one and his from the pics provided here.

Not saying yours is it, just saying it looks identical to what DJ was hitting. What are they copying is the question?

This one doesn't have the "iron man" lines on the rear center. Based on the title, it is a clone? Out already? That's terrifying :/ what does the ts on the heel stand for? Taylormade sldr, or tour sldr, or maybe test sldr? :P

TS is tour spoon, ie strong lofted 3 wood (12-13 degrees if it follows suit with all of their other spoons).

Spent this afternoon in a Golf----- checking out the equpiment. Can't afford to buy a bag of tees, so all we can do is dream. Used to do this in sporting goods stores when I was 12 , too. Now I'm 54. Nothing was really changed. All this great stuff and no money to buy it.

Why do manufacturers put an iron equivalent on hybrids when the distances seem so much greater than irons. Surely it'd be better to just give lofts. Incidentally, perhaps irons should have degrees of loft on them instead of numbers too!
