This is a well-maintained, fun, short course. It's locally owned and operated. Some holes play pretty similarly; the challenge lies in their greens. If you hit it in the wrong place, a three putt isn't out of the question. Some greens are heavily sloped and lead to trouble if you miss your downhill putt. There are a couple par 4s that shake things up. The environment is well respected on the course; walking by the lake you'll hear fish and other wildlife jumping out of the water on occasion. The cost of the course is very reasonable. It's a really fun course to walk on; on some holes, it's actually easier to walk than ride. There is a wide range of golf courses in the area, but Marks acts as a solid place for both beginners who lack distance and more experienced players who want to be challenged by small, sloping greens.
