  2. @MVJameson, welcome to MyGolfSpy forum. You've got some good advice above. Good luck in your journey to the teens!
  3. I've done with a 5 wood. It was a bit "whippier" due to extra tip length. If I got on it, it was a big hook. If I swung smoothly, it was great, straight and long...longer than typical 5 wood which is about 210 for me. I was getting 225-230 with it. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
  4. Several years ago I did a forum test the Ben Hogan VKTR hybrids against my TM RBZ hybrids. I have never had a problem going left with any club; my usual shot is straight with maybe a slight fade. I could not get the Hogan to go straight; always sliced. So if you can find a used one, it might be a fit for you, and the price might be right. I ended up giving the Hogan hybrids to my BIL who does hook and he loved them... still plays them.
  5. I have played my cobra hybrids quite often and absolutely love them. Last year I bought the rad speed driver and was a bit skeptical considering some info I had heard about the face cracking. After playing that driver for a year now I can gladly say that it has held up great and I love the feel and play of the club. Cobra makes great equipment/clubs and I following a comment earlier in this thread I must agree that I don't think people realize how good of equipment cobra puts out.
  6. ICYMI... Spieth won $2.18M; $700K more this year finishing 2nd at the RBC Heritage than he did winning it last year thanks to the PGA Tour making this tournament a designated/elevated event. AND... McIlroy lost $3M by skipping this tournament.
  7. Not sure if this is too late. I've been planning a trip to play the RTJ golf trail in Alabama and leaving Friday the 21st. I'll try to remember to post on time.
  8. Yep, looks like a knockoff of the Hogan Radial irons from the 1980s.
  9. I am also facing this issue, it's not the big deal.https://mxplayers.net/mx-player-aio-zip-eac3-codec/
  10. This will be much closer to Denver than Ballyneal. Sounds like it's just north of Roggen right off I-76. 50 miles from Downtown.
  11. I have been getting better at doing some swing feedback, but mostly from a movement/biomechanical position. So far I have had good results with my clients.
  12. I bought two “back ups” recently. Letting this one go as i’m keeping the tour issue one. Excellent condition. there is one mark on the top but i couldn’t even get it to photograph and show. Some tee markings on the face. *SOLD* OBO shipped. Comes w headcover
  13. Thanks - Agreed that the MIM hosel grind is a 10! I really wanted those to be my winners when I bought my last set as they seemed like the big chrome brother of my beloved King Forged CBs, but I just didn't love the feel of them outside of the direct center of the sweet spot. In testing the new Tour 7i, the feel across the face is more suited to my ears/hands.
  14. I always put together a golf outing the week of the WM Open. Usually 16-20 guys Sunday-Wednesday, go to WM on Thursday. Good times, with a little competition. Usually through in $25 a day per guy ($10 skins, $10 team, $5 for each par 3 closest). If you win the most you buy the first couple of pitchers! Open to suggestions on different games….
  15. Suggested same to an old timer really struggling with his irons to the point he was about ready to quit playing. He had previously tried a hybrid or two and loved them but he was reluctant to buy a complete set of hybrids and when asked why he said "because if they don't solve my problem I have nowhere else to turn to." It produced a chuckling sadness, father time is a tough opponent. Welcome to the forum too.
  16. Resurrection of a very old thread because there's one of these on RockBottomGolf for $124. https://www.rockbottomgolf.com/golf-clubs/putters/pre-owned-edel-golf-the-brick-putter/ I did a quick Google wondering production date and of course MGS has some chatter chronicled on it.

  18. Welcome to the site! Those irons are in the “ultra Game Improvement” category so they absolutely will be great for a beginner! Great buy and enjoy them.
  19. I'm a big fan of this app as well. Don't get me wrong, it's not the easiest to use and it has plenty of room for improvement but for a social app its pretty convenient. As a weekend hack, I use it in place of a range finder most of the time and it works well. Also, I really like keeping a digital library of my scorecard and stats to reference or for my buddies to give me crap on.
  20. Maybe same logic with each shaft being different. Shorter at the hybrids moving up to the Driver. My irons are the same way 105-95 (5-W)......but same lengths.....As clubs get shorter from driver to fairway woods to hybrids, the shaft weights will get progressively heavier. This varies based upon your strength and swing profile (tempo, transition and release) but in general, hybrid shafts will be 10 to 20 grams heavier than your driver shaft weight.
  21. Staying in north Myrtle, don’t mind driving 30-45 min
  22. As said above, not measured. Per the websites here are the things they measure The MLM2PRO™ provides 13 metrics including:  Ball Speed (measured)  Club Speed (measured) Smash Factor  Launch Angle (measured) Launch Direction (measured) Carry Distance  Total Distance  Spin Rate (measured) Spin Axis (measured) Descent Angle  Side Carry  Apex  Shot Type  the Garmin measures CLUB HEAD SPEED CLUB FACE ANGLE CLUB PATH ANGLE ANGLE OF ATTACK BALL SPEED LAUNCH ANGLE LAUNCH DIRECTION SPIN AXIS SPIN RATE APEX HEIGHT SMASH FACTOR CARRY DISTANCE TOTAL DISTANCE DEVIATION DISTANCE
  23. Adding the length of length will increase the swing weight, to lower it would meaning adding to the butt of the club as the easiest way to do this. It would take an extra ordinary amount of wieght. The club it going to be heavier in the head but the over all weight will be very similar. I would not sweat it unless you prefer weight in the hands verse the head
  24. So incredibly excited for this news - Bandon is an incredible place so I'm excited to see a new locale thats a bit more convenient (1 hour from Denver vs 4-5 hours from Portland). Curious if they going to pull in Doak / Doak associate for a future course.
  25. Figured I'd drop in and try to remember to post results from our Victory Tour here in Omaha. A little background info--Victory Tour is in its 6th season and started as a way for golfers of all skill levels to compete on a [somewhat] level playing field. There are currently 45+ members for the 2023 season, up from the 10 that started in year 1. We keep a tour handicap across 15 tour rounds and use 90% of that for a course handicap used for tournament scoring. Regular tournaments are played over the course of a week, running Monday-Sunday and Tour rounds must be completed with at least one other Tour member in attendance. This allows for those too busy during the week to hit it on the weekend, or those that work weekends to hit it during the week. We use a point system for each tournament similar to FedEx Cup with elevated point totals for each of our 4 Majors and all tournament winners are awarded a trophy for their efforts. Tournament sites change from week-to-week, so play never gets stale and allows a variety of players to have success or potentially melt down, culminating with a playoff system to crown the Tour Champion. At the end of the season, we do a Ryder Cup style competition with a similar league/tour in Des Moines, IA, with the winner getting a trophy and hosting honors for the following year. If anybody is interested in joining us, feel free to reach out, or you can find us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/237501597182336
  26. Yeah, was a big MTBX fan, and I applaud Dean for his creativity. But theres no doubt this new series is a backup plan. Its not the ball Dean really wanted to make. Doesnt mean it wont be good or wont be a great value. But its a loss for the golf industry.
