  1. Good morning everyone! It's a beautiful, cool morning and I'm just hanging out in my wife's car before work. Hopefully I'll find something out about mine today and I hope they find something as the warning went off before I got it towed. I don't want to be driving something that might mess up on me. I hope you all have a great day!

  3. Morning all! Had an early session at the indoor range today. The place was completely empty, so I suppose everyone’s playing outside today. On one hand, I feel like the wimp that couldn’t golf in 35°F weather. On the other hand, It’s cozy and warm in there. @sirchunksalot Ugh, what a terrible Monday. Hope you get your car fixed. Have a good one!

  4. Good morning everyone. A wet and cold start here but not really bothered as it’s duty day 4 out of a block of 7 so unlikely I’d have got any golf in even if the weather was good. @sirchunksalot hope you get the car sorted quickly and it’s something minor Have a great day everyone and hope your weather is better than here

  5. The world of premium golf shafts is extensive and complicated. As the emphasis on proper fittings in golf has grown, so has the arrival of more competitors. One such company is Autoflex. Who Is Autoflex? Established in 2009 in Korea, Autoflex now is available in more than 40 countries. They promote their Korea Hidden Technology made by Dumina Designs which includes their patented combination of high-quality carbon fiber and additional proprietary materials to create a lightweight shaft with less distortion. Autoflex bucks the concept of traditional flexes and goes with a system that is more based on driver clubhead speed with six different shafts to match a golfer's swing. 9. Morning all! Been an extremely busy couple of days, have not been able to play golf for 7 days… the longest I’ve gone so far this year…. Today that changes! Back on the course this afternoon, the sun is shining, and it’s going to warm up decently. Having some coffee and eggs, and actually got a fire going surprisingly. Have a fantastic day spies!

  10. Good morning! I’m up and out the door earlier than usual this morning because I have a conference for work to attend today. It takes 2 hours and a hot cup of coffee to get there. I was able to get out for a quick 9 holes yesterday, but No golf for me today. I’m hoping my LAB golf fitter can answer my fitting questions today so I can get the DF3 order placed before leaving for Florida tomorrow.

  12. Good morning spies! Couple of great groups for testing announced today, that was a cool start for the day. Both tests should be fun to follow. My Stars were unable to get the W against the Golden Knights in game 1 last night. Not how I was envisioning this series starting out but they should be able to bounce back. Temps will be in the 60s today which will be perfect because I really need to mow the yard this afternoon. Grass is getting to be a bit on the long side. Have a great day everyone!

  14. I'm just now getting on the forum, I've had an adventurous evening and not in a good way. I left work and started to get in the interstate when my car decided to get a case of the rumbles, it felt like I was driving in the rumble strip on the side of the road. I saw the check engine light and an EPC warning along with "auto stop/start not working". Fortunately, there's another exit two miles down and a Walmart there. I called the wife to come pick me up and roadside assistance to get the car. We drove to the dealership after getting the car towed and I should have taken the left at Albuquerque. Instead, I hit Bonny Oaks drive which was not Shallowford road. My wife says not to worry, we can take Hickory Valley and cut across. Unfortunately, making a left there was brutal. The intersection had a red light, but coming from my direction it didn't have a turn light. I waited three turns off the light before I just kind of blew the thing. I had been waiting for around 10 minutes and the wife suggested the suicidal maneuver. I got to the dealership where I was hoping to get a loaner car while mine was being repaired, but they don't loan cars to employees. That was a waste of time. We had to stop and pick up dinner and now I've eaten and cleaned up for tomorrow. I'm going to be driving the wife's car tomorrow since I didn't want to deal with the leasing company simply because I've heard that there's 12 people in line for a loaner ahead of me. Hopefully they'll get the car back on the road quick.

  15. Good morning everyone. Excited to some of the regulars who were chosen for the Smoke and Autoflex tests. Going to make for some great content in the weeks ahead. Bummer weather week on tap this week with Midwest spring weather bringing a lot of wind and storms over the next week or so. Hoping my golf doesn’t get cancelled this Sunday. Hope everyone has a great week ahead.

  17. Late to the party today! Hope your Monday is progressing better than Mondays usually do. I had a busy weekend with golf a big part of it. Saturday, I tweaked my already sore right knee and barely made it through the round. Shot 83 with 3 doubles, but did have 2 birdies. Here’s the first one on the par 3 4th hole (my ball is the closest one; the other was a playing partner’s chip shot)... The other birdie was on the par 3 #15 and it was about a foot away. Unfortunately, those were my typical putts made; pretty sure I only had 20 feet of putts made for 18 holes. But I could hardly walk after the round. I wouldn’t have played yesterday if it wasn’t our anniversary; we always play on our anniversary and birthdays. I taped my knee and wore a knee brace, and it wasn’t too bad. Planning to schedule knee replacement in the fall. I shot 80; still had 3 doubles, but only one birdie... a 20-foot putt on the par 4 #14. At the clubhouse waiting to tee off, two groups of new visitors... Today was my cardiac rehab day, then mowed the lawn. My BIL came over from Seattle for another visit so we will be playing golf again tomorrow… another knee tape-job!!

  18. Morning All, The plan was to get out this morning for a quick 9. With it being 43 degrees when I got to base, I’ll wait until this afternoon. It is supposed to be upper 60’s today. Anything below 50 and I feel like I can’t keep loose on the golf course. Which means I’m here on base at my normal time, but I have to face my irrational fear of dentists today as I have a cleaning. It’s a yearly occurrence, but it still doesn’t make it any less fear inducing. Just not a fan of someone rootin around in my mouth with a sharp metal object. Anyway, hope everyone has a great day.

  19. Good morning all! Another lovely day on tap. Personally I am attending a virtual conference so things should be a bit lighter on the work front. Also got out for some yard work and time in the sun yesterday. Also first day pulling out the bouncy house for the kids which was fun as our youngest can really get moving on it this year and had a blast. @sirchunksalot Good luck with the car troubles, they are always the worst @Cfhandyman and @Jim Shaw Not sure about the goalie rotation for the Bs but it sure will be a fun series. Have a great Tuesday everyone!

  22. Coming off an impressive performance in the Best Driver of 2024 testing with MyGolfSpy, we had to get these drivers into the hands of our member testing community. The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond took home second place in the overall standings, and the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke D managed third place, being awarded Best for Distance. Callaway is no stranger to performing well in Most Wanted testing, but this year's performance is especially impressive, considering a total of 37 drivers were part of the testing, the most ever in Most Wanted history. About the Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Series: The second generation of Paradym added a new Ai-optimized face, which Callaway calls micro deflections, aiding downrange accuracy. The Carbon Chassis is also 15% lighter than the original, helping Callaway redistribute weight into other areas, thus making the series more forgiving. The Paradym Ai Smoke series is also the first in several generations not to include Jailbreak. There are three core models in the Paradym Ai Smoke family: Max, Max D, and Triple Diamond. Max is the standard model and offers the most adjustability with a sliding weight at the back and an adjustable hosel. Max D is a draw bias driver with maximum forgiveness. It lacks movable weights but is adjustable through the Callaway Optifit hosel. Triple Diamond is the low spinning option, featuring adjustable front and back weights for spin optimization. It also includes a smaller profile for those who prefer that in a driver head. Please welcome and congratulate our testers! @Berg Ryman - Ai Smoke Max @TylorJudd - Ai Smoke Triple Diamond @RickM71 - Ai Smoke Triple Diamond @EasyPutter - Ai Smoke Max D @JAYER38 - Ai Smoke Max D

  23. Good morning Spies on this 4th out of 5 Tuesdays in the month of April. @sirchunksalot hope they get your car issue resolved quickly Jason. When the lights pop up and off, usually an electrical gremlin of some sorts is the cause. Normal work day for me today, as Tuesdays are what I call "data pull day" to prepare for later in the week meetings. Weather outlook here for mid week is getting colder, with the possibility of record low temperatures for Wednesday. Make your day the best it can be, and hopefully something enjoyable is in your plans.

    The Good Morning Thread

It's an okay morning here in the Mitten state -- rain last night, more after about 4:00 p.m., and Friday-Sunday look to be borderline, at best. But, we'll find ways to stay amused. Walked my first 18 of the season yesterday at the sister course of where I usually play. Started out miserably but ended up playing okay. Driver was averaging 5-10 yards longer than usual but iron play was inconsistent. And don't get me started on my putting. I'll get 9-holes in today at my home course today to see about getting a better handle on irons/putter. Before that, however, getting an estimate on redoing one of the bathrooms -- yanking tub and installing walk-in shower. Can't possibly run more than about $1,000.00 -- right? Have a great day, y'all!

  27. My Spies, I am back from Bobby's summer home, so please be ready for some "hit 'em striaght" and some "BE THE BLESSINGS". Loved the views up in the Highlands, the course at Sky Valley, and the Party, I mean wedding, that we made it too. I did however miss my little girl, way more then I thought I would. Can not wait until next month when we take the hike to Blue Ridge Mountains, looks like fun all the way around. I have was able to update my review on the Ghost Golf Bag. Whew, this bag is beautiful! Check out the our reviews and ask questions here: I hope yall have a great day! Hit 'em straight! Be The Blessings!

  28. Good morning and congrats to the testers! These test opportunities are on point. So much good stuff out there. Found out last night my son has my strong hoarding tendencies. His closet shelf ripped off the wall from "stuff" max overload. At least 60 pounds of T-shirts, not to mention all the other clothes and life related collections. In the words of Cat Stevens - "My boy was just like me"

  34. Good Morning Spies, Hope you are all having a good Tuesday. Nice right now but rain later so maybe some sim time after work. Congrats to the testers, I was REALLY hoping against hope on that Smoke test, but such limited numbers comparatively makes for tough decisions. Great job on getting these tests to the people running the site. Cheers and hit em straight if you can

  36. Had my first tracked round of the year today, and Arccos was an unmitigated total dumpster fire. Started the round, for some reason, without engaging the phone's microphone, so it was not automatically picking up any shots. And then the manual putting entry was another level of garbage. Whether attempting to drag the hole location and the first putt location to their proper spots, or using the distance entry, I'm amazed that neither the hole location nor the first putt location will stay in their proper places, but constantly jump around. I had issue with this last summer (using a Samsung), but it was an order of magnitude worse using my Pixel today. I might actually break out an old iPhone 6 (that doesn't even have a SIM card) to see if that will work.

  38. Good morning fellow Spies! Beautiful morning here in Maryland! A bit chilly, but it's supposed to warm up to the mid 60's. Nice hot cup of Earl Grey hitting the spot and pushing back the chill! No course play until tomorrow night: League play! Was able to get home early after work, the better half asked me where I was and I got caught out on the home range.... Got in about an hour and a half of iron work, will work the driver today at lunch if time permits. Finally got the email from L.A.B. about fitting.... really psyched to get working with that incredible putter! I hope golf figures into your day somehow, hit 'em straight MGS Nation!!

    How'd you play?

Another great day out with @GolfSpy SAM. Played Soule Park for the first time and had a pretty off the wall card. 45/41 86 w/ two birdies, 5 doubles, 5 Pars, 11/14 Fairways hit, and 32 Putts. Highlights include driving the green on a shortened hole 2, leaving the eagle putt 1 foot short and getting to two putt for birdie, a 35 foot putt for par, and an uphill 175 yard 5 iron over a bunker to 3' for birdie. I found a whole bunch of places not to be at Soule Park -- all five of those doubles are three putts from greenside locations where there was zero chance of staying within 30 feet of the pin. The greens at Soule are incredible, lots of undulation, very fast, and just flat out interesting. You can get incredibly creative with your short game. Angles are incredibly important on approach and I think the next time I'm there the knowledge I gained from playing out of the no bueno zones is going to be incredibly helpful.

    How'd you play?

Played yesterday early afternoon at a local course that typically allows me to play many clubs less than a driver off the tee on many of the holes, due to layout of the holes and course. Was sunny, very windy and about 50 degrees, so perfect golf weather in April in the Midwest. Ended up behind a foursome that must have written the book on both slow play and lack of common courtesy. Best thing is they only played 9 holes, so we played the front in 2 1/2 hours, and the back in under 1 1/2 hour. Had an 80, 40 each side, par is 73 (36/37), and did not attempt to hit many greens in regulation on the front 9, as the slow play ahead of us allowed me to hit multiple wedge shots into each green, and it was good to practice anyways. View of hole 3, short par 3 dead into the wind. View looking to the north end of the course showing how many others braved the colder elements to play. Typical par 4 layout, green here is left of the trees lining the fairway, best option something about 180 - 200 yards off the tee, then left with a short iron or wedge into the green. The epitome of slow play. He played the white tees, and here he was playing his 3rd shot on this hole. Didn't matter to them that they were holding up the whole course behind them. Another short par 4 on the back, green slightly left behind the trees on the left, again 180 - 200 yards off the tee, and a short club into the green. A tributary of the Clinton River runs through this course. This course is very low laying, and the water level is up slightly with the rain we have had this spring. If/when we get heavy rains during the summer months, this area generally is flooded, and the course not playable. Still a cool picture with the Weeping Willow trees and the blue skies.

  50. To sum up today’s play, these made my round really easy. I feel incredibly comfortable on the course gauging distances and short shots offer a lot of versatility between wedge choices. Below is one more, the first one I recorded this morning and it was an approach I historically would dread…forward pin to a back to front slope green. I hit the 59 without any fear and had an 8 footer left for my 3.
