I can't wait Derek! I'm actually planning to get a round in Saturday with some guys from work and it's going to be great to be out on the course after a couple of less than stellar weekends. When though I haven't seeing a club in a couple of weeks, I'm planning on having a good time and not being overly concerned on what I shoot, I just want to play.8 points -

Oh what a feeling to be on the Community Call again from a golf course! seems like forever since I last joined a call from last year's regular course Elma Meadows GC along Buffalo Creek. Today was from my old regular course Cazenovia GC along Cazenovia Creek in South Buffalo bordering my town of West Seneca. That "stream" in the UK would be called a "river" and that ball under the tree was 2 feet from escaping like @Yellow Ball off for a swim down a 20 foot high and steep embankment. And you got it right I am trying to get back to my 20 handicap before Kingsmill AND trying to train the clubs and balls to miss the unplayable parts of the course! Thanks Jason! I'm always thinking of you when I connect in from a golf course to give you at least one vicarious round a week to be out there with me and 40 days tomorrow until we get to do it for real at Kingsmill8 points -

Another great call with a lot of discussion and topics covered. Another week with a lot of participation, 26 members on at various times all providing questions or answers through both the call itself and chat feature. Pretty cool for me to see Derek @EasyPutter on the course, especially since I was still at work and could only hope for that opportunity today. @Cfhandyman great video, I watched it after getting home, and thanks for providing some insight into the whole production during the Community Call. Already looking forward to next week's call with the yet to be announced guest.7 points -

Another range session, more incremental progress and a growing comfort level with the QI-10 core head. As an aside, I recently added a new toy to the bag. A 13.5 degree BRNR mini driver, that is an absolute pleasure to hit and when it produces shots such as this: Rapsodo_MLM2PRO_110051_18040713export.mov It gives me an insurance policy and takes the pressure off of being perfect with the driver. As if the QI knew it needed to get it’s act together, I managed this with the driver, which is more in line with what I want off the tee. Rapsodo_MLM2PRO_110051_18040726export.mov The work continues…5 points -

Took the Qi10 Max out today for 18 at Apple Tree Golf Course. ATGC is a par 71 course. Today, I shot a respectable 96 which is basically the same as shooting a 97 at Green Tree Golf Course my past two outings. Still, glad to not see much regression after a week and a half. The driver did exactly what I asked of it today, actually seeing a bit more carry distance but not more than a few yards. Was less focused on driving today as through the testing I did notice a decline with the consistency of my irons. So maybe, the less pressure in that area helped. All in all it was a great day (except 4 putting a par 3 ) but that is a completely different tale.4 points -

Good question, the bag that came in has the strap for a right hand carry. Meaning once you put the bag on your back the clubs sit to your right. That being said, the straps are very easy to swap. I plan on taking some in depth pics about the process.3 points -

I love the deep faced fairway woods. I had an X2Hot 3 Deep in my bag for years and when it finally wore out I went to a Big Bertha Mini 1.5 for a bit. Now that I am back up north I am hitting more three woods off the deck than the tee so I compromised and put an M5 in the bag lofted down to 14*.2 points -

@sirchunksalot thank you for your kind words. I had a lot of fun doing this. It helps that I know Ian and Mike well and have been going to TXG for years and implicitly trust their advice and recommendations.2 points -
Was able to get 9 holes in tonight before the rain really picked up. Overall I'd say the F-2 performed pretty well. Here are my stats compared to other Arccos 4 handicaps. Ended up with 2 one putts, 6 two putts, and 1 three putt from 48 feet. Best putt of the round came on the last hole where I made a 25' uphill, left to right birdie. Worst putt(s) came from the 6-9' range where I was ice cold. 6-9' was also my worst range over the last 50 rounds. I think I get hung up on trying to play the perfect amount of break and have the putt die at the hole rather than add a little speed to take some break out of the equation.2 points

Good evening, Spies! After a day's work and the two-hour drive to the next port of call, I decided to officially begin the Fit For Golf test here at the hotel. I won't repeat the semi-detailed description I put on the testing thread, but here it is: FFG Workout #12 points -

Here we go, gang! My first official FFG workout, using the home bands and dumbbells protocol. Only I'm not at home, I had one band with me, the hotel had a mismatched set of dumbbells, but it did have a cable machine which I used in place of heavier bands. So I got the workout done with what was available. After the warmup session and first superset were completed in my room with that one band, I went down to the fitness center for the second and third supersets. None of it was super hard, but after three supersets with no more than 45 seconds rest between anything, I was very happy to finish and even happier to see this on the app:2 points -

I came to the conclusion that this was the year to finally retire both of my aging Bushnell Range Finders. Although both were still fully functional I felt it was time to replace them with a new one. After some due diligence and scouring innumerable golf sites (it received high praise and great reviews at this years PGA Show), I decided I would go with the new offering from Shot Scope, their Pro ZR Rangefinder. I've taken it out to the course a few times already and I'm more than pleased with it.2 points

Testers Announced! L.A.B. DF3 Putters
Rob Person and one other reacted to Cfhandyman for a topic
Another option to consider is the use of a counter balanced putter grip, like the Evnroll gravity grip. The Evnroll gravity grip is a counter balanced grip. It has an EVA foam body molded in a deep V shape. A 70 gram 10” steel rod is installed in the bottom of the V running the entire length of the grip. According to Evnroll, by positioning the weight directly under and a half-inch away from the shaft, the hands can feel the position of the putter face. Tying the hands to the putter face promotes keeping the putter’s face angle square thru the entire hitting area. This virtually eliminates face rotation at impact. This heavier-than-usual grip weight allows for more weight in the putter head. The result is a greater overall weight for increased stability and accuracy, while maintaining an ideal swing weight for optimum feel and distance control.2 points -

Nobody has seen a pink build. I personally don't have a problem with the "Bubba" model, but boy oh boy, I can just hear the razzing on the golf course. Mind you when I consistently make those 5-6 footers, that will shut them up. Look, if enough people demand it, I'm open to getting and testing it. So who wants to see me in pink?2 points -

I hate you! I am looking to get the DF3 in orange. I will embrace the goldfish because of Ted Lasso. Fit For Golf Training App - 2024 Forum Review

Yesterday evening, we had a call with Mike Carroll to have a chance for any Q&A we might have since the app is officially out for Android users (iOS folks likely have a couple more weeks). I found it very useful and look forward to getting going. I plan to start Monday 4/22 with a home-based workout focusing on speed. One question I had for him was how to incorporate speed training (SuperSpeed, Stack, etc.) into my workouts. By way of background, I was one of the forum testers of SuperSpeed back in 2020 and have done little more than some maintenance workouts since that summer (I saw incredible results, BTW 102 mph to start, 120 mph at the end). He suggested I try incorporating SuperSpeed into my FitForGolf workout: do the FFG dynamic warm-up; do the SuperSpeed protocol; then finish up with the FFG workout I have chosen. Since I am planning on doing a home-based workout, it should be entirely feasible to do as he suggested.2 points
