  2. Whoaaaaaaa bro! The Launchers are safely in the sack My buddy big Dawg wanted my thoughts and I'm gave em a few whacks in the arse. I will say I hit some pretty darn quality shots with em! The cool thing is Dawg's specs are a mirror of my own so the transition was smoother than butter on a hawt sweet potato.

  4. I was planning on showing pics of my new driver shaft I ordered last week. Now I'm not sure if to post here or "got problems" thread. Purchased a new driver shaft from one of the more reputable shops. It arrived today looking like this. FYI the grip end of the shaft was well cushioned with bubble wrap unfortunately the other end wasn't. [emoji35] We'll see how the shop responds. Sent from my iPad using MyGolfSpy

We hope so. Unfortunately at this point it's just a numbers game. The costs associated with creating LH products just weren't justifiable as we were getting started. We've definitely heard from a lot of lefties that are interested and we want to have some LH offerings asap...it'll largely just depend on how this year goes. We'd love to have LH stuff in our lineup sooner rather than later though!

  6. Have you considered doing an online lesson or two in order to get a trained set of eyes on your swing? I have been following Larry Cheung on Instagram and Youtube and I love his coaching style and thoughts on the swing. https://larrycheunggolf.com/ If I didn't have a local pro, I would definitely opt for online lessons with him.

    jlukes' Swing Overhaul

Lesson #6 I had my 6th lesson yesterday and we started off by talking about my round on Tuesday. I explained what was working, what wasn't and where I was struggling the most. I warmed up and started taking some swings and we talked about my left misses were coming from my weight getting too much in my toes and thus causing me to come over the top. We worked on exaggerating the feeling that the weight was staying in my heels throughout the swing. The pressure mat showed that while I felt the weight was in my heels, it was right in the middle of my feet where it was supposed to be. This is just another example of exaggerating the opposite feeling of what you are trying to get away from. We also widened my stance a bit, as it was definitely on the narrow side - especially with the scoring clubs. Getting my stance a little wider helped me with my weight transfer and rotation as it reigned in my lateral hip movement while still letting me post up on and rotate around my front leg on the downswing. I have two more lessons to go and I am really happy with the progress I have made so far. Is my swing transformation complete? Not even close. However, I understand the concepts and the moves and I am beginning to put everything together on a much more consistent basis. I am realistic and I know that this entire season is going to be a journey. My work and family life doesn't allow me to practice much, so I know the full swing changes won't become second nature as fast as I would hope. I just have to continue my journey, work within my own time constraints, and keep my expectations realistic. I know I am on the right path and I am excited to see where it leads me.

  8. My wife showed me a weather report on facebook for our area next week. It says 12"-18" of snow likely with the possibility of up to 36"! I laughed and told her no way we are going to get that much snow. I sure hope I'm not wrong on that!

  12. Hey there. I've been a lurker for about six years and started to donate a couple years ago. For a while every club in my bag was influenced by MGS. I recently got my hands on some NOS Scratch wedges which kicked out a set of Mizunos; and have fallen in love with a Bobby Grace putter which has - at least - temporarily displaced my Gen 1 ER3. Wondering for about a year whether I should pull the trigger on an Arrcos (I'm a bit of a control freak). Love golf! Love golf equipment!

  18. ... I love the Rogue shaft series. Just awesome shafts that can be bought for much less than when they were introduced. I have a Rogue Black Tour 110 shaft that retailed for $799 and while it is a little smoother than the $299 original priced retail version, performance is very similar, it just has a smoother feel and higher QC. One of the absolute steals is the Rogue Silver Tour 125 that was stock in Wilson Trident driver that sold for $99. I had a friend that bought one and gave away the head. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2510209.m570.l1311.R1.TR10.TRC0.A0.H0.XWilson+Tr.TRS0&_nkw=wilson+triton+driver&_sacat=0

  19. Still subzero temps here, which discourages garage work. But I'm enjoying chipping with with SkyTrak. This morning, I set a new personal best: six 10-yard chips that finished a total of 12' 2" from the hole. I'll absolutely take that every time.

  24. Electric carts are getting more efficient every year and a lot depends on the terrain of the course. I know some of the mountain courses are so hilly an electric cart will not make 18 holes. Back when my old man ran a course it was hilly and on the weekends the carts with new batteries could maybe make 36 holes. We used to charge them between rounds. I can remember the ones with new batteries were ran to death and the batteries would be shot by spring. Of course those older carts were not nearly as efficient as they are now.

  25. Down here most of the courses lease carts and depending on the course they get new ones every 2 years. Some of the upper tier courses within a management group get new carts every year and the lease on the older ones are passed on to the lower tier courses. Believe it or not carts get beat to hell and back on the mid tier and lower tier courses in the spring and fall tourist golf seasons. Far as single rider carts it just depends on how "trendy" they become as to whether courses will adopt them here.

VERY excited to put this on my Tour Classic. Time to hit some flagsticks! The black/green combo probably looks better but I already had a SS in that scheme so I went with the white/green. Nothing like that new grip feel.

  31. A couple of weeks ago, Fox announcer Shane Bacon posted this on Twitter: So I replied by posting the video (above) of Kirke hitting his new driver in the snow (and made it clear that the video had been filmed earlier). Shane picked Kirke to receive a hat. It arrived today, and I hadn't told Kirke about it. So here's the video of him opening it and saying thanks to Shane for the gift.

  33. Ok,I am an addict. I need to stop reading this forum and watching YouTube, although I love the content over at TXG. So there I was, content with my TS3 setup. Hit the F9 at a top 100 fitter, was impressed, but not enough to buy. Fast forward to all the hype around the Ventus shaft. Figured what the hell, I have a bunch of stuff to sell/trade in, should be no out of pocket expense. Well looking around the interwebs, I happen across JDs custom clubs. What do you know, cobra F9, Fujikura Ventus 6s, $549........so I caved. WTF. As an aside. Called Fujikura, and they couldn’t recommend JDs more. He’s based in Minnesota and so far the communication and experience has been off the charts. If you are in the market for new stuff, check it out. His prices are crazy competitive. https://www.jdsclubs.com Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  34. Hit the range, bunker and putting green this morning. Also did my first ASD protocol this afternoon. I really worked on trying to simulate play after I warmed up - drive, approach, bunker, putt it out, drive, approach, chip putt it out. The one bummer is that our rough is dormant - I think Innisbrook overseeds it’s rough so that could bite me. I’m going to try and find some range time again tomorrow. 37. I enjoy the Golfholics videos, you are correct about the drone shots. Mr. Short Game is also pretty good if you're into the Golfholics style. I particularly enjoy Golfholics and Mr. Short Game because they talk through their shot choices a lot. It's a good way in my opinion to work on the mental aspects of my game.

  49. Make it four I've never had lessons and played off the rack for a very long time. Maybe got down to an 8 or so that way. I've still never had lessons, but I have been fit several times. I do believe it's made a big difference. A bad swing is still going to be a bad result, but a good fitting can help you hit the ball well more often. So even though it's a drive, don't give up on it just yet! I will say the biggest thing that helped me go lower though was just playing more often. I used to play a handful of times a year, maybe once or twice a month when the weather was nice. Since we moved on to a course I get to play weekly and sometimes more. Just going out to play more has made by far the biggest difference in my scoring.
