  1. I want to get a bunch of dicks, animals and letter stamped on my irons instead of numbers. What did you hit there? I was between a full big D or a 3/4 donkey and opted for the donkey.

  3. So I am back from my fitting. Not even sure where to start as this was like no other experience that I have had getting fit for golf clubs. I guess first, my apologies as I didn’t take any pictures. The fitting was fun but very business like which was a good thing. The first comment that I can make is that the studio and the technology was top notch and the fitter was one of the best that I have ever dealt with. Name a shaft, any shaft and they more than likely have it available to hit. The second comment would be that I left with a bag that if I had my pick to start I wouldn’t have ended up

  4. ... Pretty much the same for me. I have run across a handful of players thru the years that talk about how far they hit their irons, but all of them swung out of their shoes attempting to achieve max distance with every swing. Conversely those that actual hit their irons very far by technique and ability never talked about distance or their equipment and in some cases were amazingly ignorant about their equipment. I have always felt that distance claims are made by OEM's and not golfers, at least the majority of golfers. Outside of golf forums I am amazed at how little knowledge even really go

  5. Interesting, I play ALOT of golf with a lot of different people, both that I know and random people I get paired up with and I have never heard anyone BRAG about how far they a 7 iron. Now occasionaly I will hear bar room talk about driver lengths, but never hear in regards to an iron. The number on the bottom mean next to nothing to most everyone I play with.

  6. I'm a high swing speed player fit into players irons (jpx 919 Tours) and guess what? My world renowned fitter fit me to have them bent strong. Why? Because stronger lofts give me optimal launch, peak height and landing angle. Jason Day plays his irons strong. And guess what? It has nothing to do with distance

  15. I received mine yesterday. I’m going to be a bit redundant, but it is a critical point. I caddie/coach/play and fit. My exposure to technology in Golf has brought me to a cynical beginning perspective. There was a time when I thought Trackman was the greatest thing since Titleist introduced the Professional. Nowadays I’m much more “it’s going to have to make the game better/faster on a $1=$1 basis”. In other words, I would spend my hard earned money with Arccos, I am impressed with Mizuno’s shaft optimizer, and I would invest in the company that is going to bring non-conforming equipment

  17. The way I’ve read the mgs info in the op, Jonathan walls article and the the info on titleist page. That was happening in fittings and sounds like they were looking at spec sheets coming thru or talking to their fitters and got the feedback that led them to decide to offer another option with stronger lofts and a sole to go with that change plus the cg to get the right launch. We know for some golfers when they go strong the leading edge becomes an issue due to the bounce change. So maybe that was in the feedback too saying we have customers that need/want that stronger lofts but we can’t get

  21. Beckham doing something stupid and emphasizing his narcissist character... who'd have thunk it . If he's got a beef with the system (the same one who afforded him the opportunity to secure a $90M contract) he should use some of his nest egg to file suit against the NCAA - as opposed to grandstanding during the LSU players celebration.

  22. Just received the SX400 today, got it setup, and played around with it in demo mode. I won't say anything about initial impressions, but I can at least answer your questions. Yes, there is a subscription required and there are multiple options to bundle the subscription or you can purchase the device by itself (for current subscribers simply making an upgrade). Yes, the SX400 does provide shot tracking, but you have to tag each shot. Based on what I've seen so far (again just playing with demo mode), it doesn't look like tracked shots will be stored like they would with Arccos, ShotS

  25. I love the symmetry of your numbers. Although I'm not gaining much on the right side anymore, my left side continues to get faster. I would love to see my left side catch completely up like yours. Glad you are getting great results with Fit For Golf. I'm not doing Mike's SuperSpeed workout, but I've transitioned to mixing his offseason program stretching with heavy compound lifts and the original SS protocols. So far, so good.

  28. ... Knowledge is power and ignorance is bliss, especially when it comes to golf swings and equipment. I have always been meticulous about club specs going back to Flo and Spine when installing new shafts when QC mandated it. So I have 2 stories for you: I always played my driver at D1 after finding that weight worked best for my swing. 2 years ago in Phoenix for the winter I did not have access to my workshop and about a month before coming home I picked up a new shaft to try in my F8. I installed it and it felt a hair heavy but I took it to the course and hit it very well. I continued t

  29. That very well could be. Somewhere earlier in this thread it was mentioned that SuperSpeed also saw similar results when people only trained two days versus three. For me personally I always tried to do three days a week as a tester but my fastest days were definitely Mondays after having two days of rest over the weekend. To be honest I got kind of bored with the regular SS protocols. I stopped the program over the summer but picked the sticks back up again about a month ago when I started the Fit for Golf SuperSpeed program. Not sure how familiar people are with it but it's a streng

  30. Listening to Michael Breed this morning, he brought up a question for his listeners to chime in on and I thought it was an interesting question. So with apologies to Micheal for stealing his idea, let's hear your thoughts. So answer the poll above, and leave your reasons below. The topic was centered around Phil Mickelson, whether he'll play the US Senior Open this year---My Goodness, is he really 50?---or play the Travelers Championship being held the same week. Pros for the US Senior Open-It would be his first major as a Senior, it's at Newport Country Club--and if he won in

  32. The SEC had a really good season this year, and we’re the best. Particularly the top 3 in the conference. They were very good. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Tua was healthy. That could have been interesting. I really don’t care who plays who, I just want to see good football. Like the Clemson vs Ohio State, and also Clemson vs. LSU. LSU was just the better team, they were all season and they deserved the win. You could see in the second half. Clemson just didn’t have enough. They played well, just got beat by a better overall team

  33. Very true, most guys don't know what swing weight is or how heavy their shaft is etc. The guys that worry about how far they hit their 7 irons are the ego driven golfers. Most really good golfers I know only care about if they hit their number consistently. Take me for example, I hit my 7 iron 170 yards. I'm not saying this to impress anyone or care about those that can hit theirs farther, I am saying this because I don't want to hit my 7 iron 180 on one swing, 170 on another and 190 on the next. I want to know that I CONSISTENTLY hit it 170 yards give or take a few yards. If my 170 yard

  35. I don’t look at conference records for the bowl games. I just want to see good football games and I Don’t really care who wins at that point. I thought Michigan played a great game against Alabama, it was a well played game, and if Patterson could have made the throws on a couple of those overthrows the final score would have been closer, not saying Mich would’ve won, but it would have been closer. I think there were other games vs SEC teams that very good close games as well. They were 9-2 but could have been 6-5. I just want competitive bowl games. Who wants to watch 35-0 in a bowl game

  39. There is an annual subscription that boils down to 3 annual plans. Statewide ($30), countrywide ($50), or worldwide access ($60), with incentives for buying multiyear subscriptions. Since I live on the border of two states and I play golf in both, I would lean towards the countrywide subscription. Skycaddie was very generous to provide us with a worldwide subscription for this test. If you guys know some people who know some people, I will be HAPPY to test out the traveling option in other countries. 46. ... Thanks, I appreciate that. While my herniated disc is doing much better, it is still not healed to where I could drive or even fly to Orlando. So I have not ruled out going to the show but how I feel the next few weeks will dictate my plans. The last thing I want to do is set back my winter even further. I was supposed to be in Phoenix Jan 1 and have pushed that back to a tentative Feb 1 but will postpone further if needed. So it doesn't look good for the show, but I have not ruled it out.
