  1. My wife is going to kill me. I’m excited to share my bag next week when everything is here but I had to make a change with my SIM 3. The Diamana shaft just feels like a wet noodle. I met up with a friend and did some swings and confirmed what I really wanted. I just ordered a Ventus Blue 7-X from Peoples golf...after some reading and comparisons it was a no brainer to go with them. The sad part about the Diamana was it felt so good but it was all over the place for me on the course. 60* TW MG2 arrives next week and after that I’ll snap some pics for the 2021 bag. Maybe the front door camera will need a battery charge those days when UPS & FedEx arrive

  2. Yep that is the way you disinguage the drive tracks-- I had figured it out and Roger confirmed it--- As far as handling and storing it does just fine--- Like I told Roger It could fit in the trunk of my S-500 easily with a staff bag if I did not have so much stuff in there already but that is my fault. But it does fit in the back seat fine. As far as the weight it is a sturdy built unit and a little heavy but did not strain my back too bad handling it. LOL talking about a race I already have one lined up with an old Vet who lives in the park who rides a Rascal Scooter but he insisted I have to have a loaded golf bag on it. I will have a "driver" though one of the young guys that runs and bicycles all time. I can not keep up with it set on 8. Yep this is going to be a blast. Wanted to get it on course yesterday but I had one of my "bad days" hoping to do it today but need to check the weather because they are calling for showers on and off today and they do not reccomend it in the rain for ovious reasons

So far, I have reasonable optimism that it's going to be trivial, but those are famous last words in auto repair. I have a Bluetooth car scanner, and it's saying it's a cylinder misfire. Having it looked at by my local mechanic (the dealer has already agreed to pay for that) to make sure it's not something more serious.

    How'd you play?

Can't get over the +8 hump but for the first "official" round of the year that I can post under my GHIN I'll take it. A crapton of blind shots and a pretty narrow course; thankfully I was paired with 3 retirees who've played it for 30 years! Also - first round with my free Arccos membership (for a limited time) and I'm really liking it. I use a 5 inch iphone8 and leave it in my left front pocket and it worked fantastic. (ignore the first putt distance LOL... I haven't got around to marking the pin w/the phone yet) Best shot of the day was the one below; the 21 yard pitch over a mound onto a green that sloped away from me and I had a 2 foot circle I could have landed it in. Dribbled it up to 3 feet. Funny how those touch shots end up being your favorite vs the big drives, etc.

  12. I have tested mine here in the park I live in and the remote fail safe does operate as advertised. Put it through a pretty good pace and my remote did not die. Looking forward to getting on the course and range with it. Also I found it highly manuevarable I actually live in a mobile home and used the remote guided it out the door and on to the wheel chair ramp. Going down the ramp I had the speed set on 1 and it braked good. Speed position 2 is as fast as I can walk behind it at this time. I did throw it up on 8 and it took off. My wife wondered if I could stop it and I told her it was supposed to stop itself if it got to a certain distance away. I told her at worst it would stop when it hit something. But the shutdown stopped as advertised.

  14. This is true. However I am going to guess that there are some serious outliers to get to that level of dispersion. Dispersion patterns are not the end all be all. Yes they will give a good guideline but there will be variance within them as well. I for instance have a driver dispersion of about 70 yards. However I can and will increase that to 100 yards at times, but I don't change my strategy because of that. It just means I am not that good. He does suggest that getting the driver dispersion down to about 75 yards is perfectly fine. And my guess is that you will be somewhere in that range. DECADE will change your thinking on the course and will help you shoot better scores without changing anything mechanically. That I am 99% sure of.

  16. Today's webinar was great; while I know Scott is trying to get people to buy the program, it was still nice for he and Lou Stagner to spend an hour and 15 minutes giving to a webinar on DECADE to people that retweeted a post. Lou spent the first 15 minutes talking about expectation management; the first E in DECADE. Yes, DECADE is an acronym. Scott considers expectation management to be one of the most important parts of decade. Understanding realistic expectations allows you to properly assess your game. Scott then kind of assessed some of the masters play. Talked about how big of a mistake it was for Jordan to try and hit out of the trees and that it wasn't worth the risk. Basically maintaining discipline for 72 holes is very difficult. He talked about shot patterns and why using the DECADE shot patterns works for most handicap levels even players shooting in the 90s. He talked about a shot that Will hit (think it was 17) where he hit it to 5 feet. Will told Scott he heard a patron say that he was shooting at flags. Will told Scott he wasn't; hit target was 13 feet left of the flag. Two big things that Scott stressed is that you should only work the driver in one direction and focus on speed drills for putting. I've gone through the foundations program and have to say while what is discussed sounds easy, it is really hard to maintain the focus on the DECADE principles for 18 holes.

It wasn’t a bad late afternoon either! Got very hot with the putter. Made a bomb on 6 for birdie, 8 for par, 16, 17 and 18 for birdie for 73. Also my speed was spot on all day, lots of tap in pars. I put hybrid in the 6 iron slot. Only hit it once but effectively on a lay up on a par 5. Smashed 5 wood all 3 times that I hit it - could really have used some sort of 3 wood on 17 - par 5 was 15 yards short with the 5 wood. :) Sent from my iPhone using MyGolfSpy

  19. I really appreciate that compliment Bryan. Despite the fact that I am active on hunting and sharing contests on IG, and my capability of multitasking. My full time job is very unpredictable, there are very light and easy days, where I might put it about 2 hours of work for the whole day, it is just as easy to have days where I am working over 16+ hours, and clocking in 80 to 90 hours Monday to Friday. My fear is that I will get stuck on those work blackholes and will not be able to put in the effort and care that this community deserves. Still it is very tempting.

  20. If you have friends, REAL friends that is... there is no better answer than: The humble Minivan. Sadly that GIF is not me, in spirit maybe. My humble Honda Odyssey faithfully carries 3 friends + Myself to NH and Maine every year for 2 golf trips. It holds all the clubs, luggage, food, adult beverages, and other necessities one could need for a weekend of golf. Plus it does this in comfort and with absolutely no style at all. So no one expects you to be good at golf either.

  22. So this is turning into as much a bag test as it is an electric push cart test! Haven't had a chance to test the Easilock function but will be on the range tonight and will just mount the bag to the cart for testing purposes. Moved my entire bag over and found a few differences from my Datrek Light II bag. The valuables pockets are deeper so more space for bigger phones. I have a Note 20 Ultra so fairly large phone that I will test the fit. I use my phone for the Grint during rounds so not that it would stay in there. The cooler pocket is really big. I can fit a 6 pack of seltzer water with room for ice and whatever other canned beverages you may be sneaking bringing on to the course... I can also fit (though not at the same time as a 6 pack) my 1.5L insulated water bottle and the compartment still zips up. I drink a lot of water during a round (sometimes 3 or 4L in the heat of summer) so the big cooler pocket is a big plus for me especially if I plan on walking more rounds this summer!

  25. A couple of weeks back I welcomed you, expressed my hope that you'd contribute to the conversations, and told you that your contributions would increase the likelihood that your recommendations would be seen as valuable. Now you've posted a half dozen times, and every single one in this thread, pushing an app. THAT trend actually makes your recommendation LESS reliable in my mind, and apparently in the minds of others here. Your involvement here seems to be for the sole purpose of puhsing the app.

If your using the app click on the 3 lines in the bottom right corner Then click on transactions and trade block This page will show what everybody has set up for players wanted and offering. You can click on edit my team in the upper left. It will list your team with boxes to check for who you want to offer. Then you can search for the last name of the guys you want to get in return and check their boxes. You can also add a message which is helpful if your looking for specific guys and how much you may be willing to offer to get them.

  32. First off let me start this story by saying I'm an idiot. Now that that's off my chest let's begin. Back in 2018 I was part of the original MGS SuperSpeed review. At the completion of the protocols I saw my baseline speed jump from about 104mph to a peak of 111mph. This was measured on the slightly juiced SwingSpeed Radar that was usually 3-5mph faster that better tracking devices. I admittedly slacked off with the program shortly after posting my final review but picked it back up each winter once the snow started falling here in Wisconsin. This particular winter I really focused on a Fit for Golf workout program along with the SS sticks. Shout out to Mike Carroll at Fit for Golf for putting together a great program. After working all winter I decided to test my swing in late March to see if new gains were made. I don't have any type of fancy setup but I do have a Skytrak in my garage with a portable heater and previously mentioned SwingSpeed radar. After getting warmed up I let loose to see exactly how fast I could go. I was picturing something like this happening on the course this summer: I started off in the same 108-110mph range that I hit with my 2018 peak. Figuring that I had nothing to lose hitting into a net I went all out. Who cares if it's 50 yards offline if I'm bombing them! Slowly my numbers started to creep up. First 112, then 114 for a few swings. One hellacious swing actually hit 116mph on the Skytrak (120 on the SwingSpeed radar). I was admittedly starting to get tired by this point but wanted to keep going to see if I could top 116mph. I should have known better. Around swing # 50 this happened: I'm extremely glad no one else was home because there was a string of swear words that was definitely not fit for children much less adults. I made decent contact with the ball but on my ridiculous follow through I hit the ceiling rafter with the club head. I should have immediately ordered this shirt: After swallowing my pride I sent a picture of the club to the head pro and my local public course. After he stopped laughing at me (jerk) he said he would contact Cobra and see what he could do. Knowing that it was 100% my fault I expected Cobra to get a good laugh at the situation and then I end up ordering a new club from them at full price. One week goes by with no word. Two weeks go by with no word. And today I receive this email: Cobra is awesome. I pull an all time idiot mistake by breaking my F9 driver in the garage and Cobra replaces the head with a brand new RAD Speed for free. They even sent the Peacoat and Red version that I preferred. I was already a Cobra fan for life after competing in the Cobra Connect Challenge but this puts them above and beyond anything. Thank you Cobra. TL;DR: Cobra is an amazing company, I'm an idiot, my local head pro is great, and MGS is the best forum on the planet. If you are in the market for a new club do yourself a favor and test out a Cobra. I'm not guaranteeing it will be the best fit for you, but you can be sure you'll get absolute top notch service from them if anything should ever go wrong.

A few years ago my brother and I went to the Barrett Jackson Auction in Scottsdale - an absolute bucket list item for fellow car enthusiasts. I was amazed at the number of BMW's, Jaguars, Mercedes, and to a lesser extent Porsches, only about 10 years old, that were selling for what I thought were crazy low prices. Like original MSRP's of $100K+ for less than $20K. I mean we're talking plush interiors, convertibles, and high performance. We spoke to one of the staff about it and he said that the market was not particularly strong for them at that time, But, even more a factor, is that the repair and maintenance costs were crazy high and frequently needed. Like a spark plug change for $1200 on a V12 or a headlamp assembly for $600 . I know understand why when visiting places like Las Vegas one routinely sees exotic cars zipping around all over the place. One can pick one of these up for a song and look like their a zillionaire.

  35. So earlier in this thread I'd posted about a problem with a trade-in at PGATSS. Well, after... - two phone calls to their main Customer Care # - two emails to their main customer service address - a call to Callaway Golf - a call to my local PGATSS store - another call to Callaway Golf - another call to my local PGATSS store - a call to the trade-in center - and.. one more call to the local store .. .. the end result is: "The +50% trade-in bonus was in-store only; we need the clubs here in the store." News to me; did NOT see that on the store website when I purchased a club and processed the trade-in. No way they can provide me the add'l credit, no further recourse. So I'm out $140, which is not gonna kill me but it's annoying; and my fault for "assuming" the two-part transaction would work as I .. uhh .. expected... Did get an e-gift card via email but I'm gonna donate it to a NYC grass-roots org that's helping inner city youth get into golf while also helping / encouraging them to improve their grades in school

You're lucky the dealer is going to pay for it. I had a cylinder misfire on my Porsche. Local mechanic thought it could be plugs or coils. $500. later he gave up. Had to take it to a Porche indy shop who promptly and correctly diagnosed it as a stuck lifter. FYI that requires removing the engine. Cost? Don't ask. Of course that's the first issue I had with the car in 19 years (it's a 2002)

  40. We're going to need to see videos of this race! I was thinking I could race the GPS unit against a golf cart with the automatic distance control set to max (60 yards) but in that mode it automatically sets the speed to 5 so it wouldn't work. I could run behind it at speed 9 but that would be a 60 yard sprint! Yep, also Roger mentioned that they are trying to focus on rental fleets at courses so having a detachable piece like a remote would be a liability. My buddy's dad who is retired plays with a remote cart (not sure of the brand) but I think after a while you just get used to having a remote in your pocket. Yeah, it definitely folds and unfolds easier than my sun mountain reflex but that is a very old push cart.

  41. That's what has been so impressive so far is how stable it is. First day I got it, I walked outside and just looked around as I was walking. When I watched the video later, it was so smooth. I want to attach it to my car, but am just a little too paranoid about that.

  46. For sure. Roger mentioned that this is the feedback he is looking for from the test so that they can use it for future models. Apparently the UK and US markets are a bit different in terms of customer wants and needs. I asked why the GPS and remote functions could not be merged into one unit and he said that in Europe most consumers have shown they don't really care much for a remote.
