I felt like I needed to share my accomplishment with all of you. I shot a 75 on a par 70 course. My lowest score ever was an 84. Small victories!!!!5 points

Wow is it nice to login and not see a million spam threads. Maybe I just jinxed it, but thank you to the mod team over the last 48 hours in working their tails off to clean it up and work on some other filters to prevent it moving forward!3 points

I accomplished something I’ve never done today. I followed a round in the 70s (77) with another round in the 70s (79) just one week later. Never had consecutive rounds in the 70s.3 points

Last Update; first I would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Second I have started taking a new medicine just off of trials. Less than 200,000 take it around the world. I have gone from a platelet level of one (almost bleed out) to 120 which is normal. The specialist know what happened but do not know why. Will have to get blood test every week and can't play golf for awhile until they are sure the range will stay in the normal range but they are very encouraged. Golf news: Golf pride has reached out and asked me to help evaluate the new tape less accelerate grips. Some of you may have gotten notices too. May change the way we replace grips. I will give feedback to everyone when I start the process. Looks promising. They supplied me with three grips. I will put on driver, 3iron hybred and one of my wedges. I will be straightforward and honest. I do my own and I hope there as good as stated. Hope to get started soon. Take Care and Stay Safe.2 points

I’ve been teaching my two young girls. 7 & 8 for the past two years. Started out slow. Going to driving ranges, top golf, and have played at an Executive 9 hole about half a dozen times in the last year. I’ve found it’s a better experience for all if I take them one at a time. ordered a Spornia net and mat to practice in the shade of our garage as we live in the supreme heat of the desert. I also have a Wellputt 13’ mat to help keep the flat stick stroke tuned. I’m hoping that as theY become Better ball strikers they will enjoy hitting the course more than they do now. Occasionally they get distracted by the ducks, or rabbits, or bugs. It’s cute. But I’m hoping some of you might be able to give some tips to keep them more focused. I don’t want to push them but I want to nudge ‘em. I hope they fal in love and get addicted to hitting and practicing and playing but if they don’t it will just be a game mainly for me and occasionally the wife as well.2 points

I just wanted to say thank you for the information you posted last December about my request for RTJ info. I was able to spend a week and played all the courses you recommended. I played your home course first with two local guys that were preparing for a tournament of some kind. They were wonderful to play with, but I was just trying to stay out of their way. I really enjoyed Ross Bridge after I got over how tight the fairways were (lost two of my first three tee balls). In fact that turned out to be a pretty good round for me. I hit some good shots and was pleased with the effort. It was a great week only one day of rain in April. Ross Bridge......8000 yards, I thought it was a joke until this past weekend at Kiawah. I am hopeful I can return soon to try a few more offerings. Again, thank you for your kindness and knowledge. Best, Rick1 point

This SNOW needs to go away... I got things I want to test and courses that are dancing around in my brain on the daily! New update from my winter insanity forthcoming in my signature line. It would appear that I'm starting to fall into a one brand majority, which I think at worst will always be 2 because of my putter. BUT IT'LL BE CLOSE!1 point

Detailed review of the $120 laser rangefinder by Mileseey from Miguel at Brown Bear Golf. Can a laser rangefinder at this pricepoint compete with namebrand competitors that cost four times as much? Miguel took the Milessy rangefinder to five different courses and tested its accuracy against GPS as well as a Bushnell $400 rangefinder. This video explains the features of the device and confidently makes a conclusion of it it is the right device for golfer across the globe. Hi Dave! Just read your Yeti Hopper Flip 8 review! Appreciate all the detail. I am on the fence between the 8 and 12 right now. Main use would be for a golf league every Monday so I see the 8 is probably the best way to go for fitting in the basket and what not. Just worried about those pool party days and maybe needing the 12 lol. Does the 12 not fit in the golf cart basket? Didn't see if that was covered in another review. Thanks!1 point

New member here, just wanted to say I've been looking at MGS for a while and have to think the contributors here are the most knowledgeable group of golfers anywhere on the web. I hope to pick up more nuggets of useful information and look forward to enjoying the dialogue.1 point

Next steps to my road to improvement Current Adding the Mizuno MMC FliHi 4 iron to the bag once it comes it to replace my hybrid. The hybrid has too significant of a draw bias, not terrible, but I also draw the ball naturally already, and will probably go in and out of the bag, but I'm looking for better shot shaping with the FliHi and have that 210 to 225 distance into the green and off of the tee. Working on my putting. I'm rolling the ball nicely now with a slightly open stance with my current putter. I have another putter that I can get the ball rolling online, but the pace is off. Future step is to actually get fit for a putter. Working on my natural tempo and swing speed for the driver to have more consistent drives. See below for more info. Next Driver shaft optimization. Not looking for a new head yet. I like my 2017 M1 460. Interested in the journey of testing some shafts. Right now my shaft is determining what kind of shot I can do. Slower speed and tempo than my natural speed and tempo. This has lead to a great deal of inconsistency of trying to find the "magic speed and tempo" and I know that isn't the way to go. Swing speed training. I'll have multiple shafts at this point so I can game whatever is best fitting me as I go along. And I can always swing a little slower or club down to hit a fairway. Future Get fitted for a putter > get fitted for a driver/shaft and woods from a high level, reputable company willing to discuss numbers and takes the time and right approach. Open to custom shafts and not just from the OEM cart like at a Golf Galaxy. I have only been fitted to a driver once, but didn't purchase as I did not like the experience, small selection of shafts, and I wasn't swinging my natural speed and tempo like I should have.1 point
