Handling the testing this time will be: @TSauer @HeathS16 @hartrick11 @dlow206 @alfriday101 @Rickp Full announcement here: https://forum.mygolfspy.com/topic/41031-testers-wanted-6-titleist-tsi-drivers/?do=findComment&comment=695637 ______________________________________________________ This is a big one and a unique opportunity from any OEM. Titleist is going to have the new TSi drivers in the hands of six forum members by “Launch Day” which is the week of the Masters. You will be among the very first consumers

  2. What works best for your long game? Do you prefer to go for the gusto with fairway woods, or perhaps seek the control of a driving iron, maybe the forgiveness provided by hybrids? Well the Ben Hogan Golf Company has options available in all three categories. This may very well be the largest forum test ever conducted on the internet. Can you say MEGA TESTING? We’re going to give 15 of you a chance to test one of these in the category you choose, no that’s not a misprint. Fifteen forum members will get a chance to test a GS3 Fairway wood, UHI driving iron or a VKTR+ hybrid.

  3. Nick, You're definitely correct that the selection process isn't random. We try to be very upfront about that. Testing isn't about winning a contest. The reason that it's not random is that we've got two groups that we are serving here. The first is our forum readers; the second is the OEMs. So to take the Titleist test as an example: obviously, there was huge demand to get in on this test, and rightfully so. From time to time, we've picked members for testing who receive the product and are not heard from again. This fails to serve our readers, who really want to find out what

  4. Since you read the thread about being selected you do understand the process. New forum members are picked for testing; they are generally lower cost items like ball, shoes, shafts, wedges, superspeed sticks, etc. The selection teams doesn’t expect everyone to make thousands of posts; just that they contribute and stay engaged. Find the topics that you are interested in and get some dialog going. Testing for MGS is a commitment over several months that requires continuous engagement on the forum and potentially social media. Those that just apply to get free stuff won’t read your p

  5. TESTERS ANNOUNCED! Is it possible for a golf equipment company to simultaneously be a colossus—and underrated, at the same time? Consider this: Titleist had the most played ball at the most recently-completed Tour event. That surprises no one. And maybe you'd guess that they had the wedge and putter categories as well. Possibly irons also. But driver? I'm guessing that other OEMs likely come to mind quicker when it comes to Tour presence with the big stick. But maybe those guys know something we don't.... We need some Forum members to let us know how the new

The selection committee will be working late into the night. Testers will be announced Thursday sometime. Entries Closed.

  8. Had the pleasure of playing at the hole club of @Philly Golf Guy - Ledgerock Golf Club yesterday. Fantastic course and I played really well. Shot 79 with one double. The double came from a diabolical short grass area alongside 17 green. Also bogeyed a par 5 after being in a greenside bunker in two. Unfortunately heavy rain the prior day led to this particular bunker playing like wet cement Was nearly automatic off the tee and my irons were as solid as ever.

  10. Testers Wanted (5) There’s something about RAW wedges that elicits a mixed bag of reactions from golfers. Some swear it gives them more spin—that’s a topic for another day—some say they prefer the look of shiny chrome, tour satin or jet-black finish. Remember the days of one choice? At one time the options were so few, many took to the home version of RAW by soaking wedges in Coke and other methods to get them to rust. The last few years have seen many OEM’s offer a RAW version of their wedges. With Cleveland Golf having successfully launched the new RTX Zip Core wedges in t

The new raw/tour rack finish of the RTX Zipcore wedge is made of unplated 8620 carbon steel that will patina and rust after a few weeks of regular use, giving you that signature tour look. It includes your choice of: 3 sole grinds 5 tour crafted leading edge grinds 2 custom finishes Join me in congratulating our fine group of testers @KurtActual @rbsiedsc @Brian A @yungkory @Cory O

A few thoughts from me, even though they don't really mean as much as what's been said here by the moderating group, but this is just my perspective as someone who has been lucky enough to test the past few years. 1) Specifically for my guy @necostanzo, I'm so happy you came at this thread from a point of understanding and reasoning rather than jealousy and rage. I cannot tell you how many posts we've seen here from people who are just mad they never get picked, but you're willing to learn and understand the process, which will go a long way toward earning respect and acclaim from everyon

She's still a little zoned out from the meds, but she's got Netflix and she asked for her favorite blueberry muffin from Dunkies to munch so, hopefully she keeps that one down (those meds side effects are no joke). We'll be back up in Boston on Tuesday for our first followup with the surgeon, fingers crossed for a good report. Thanks again everyone.

  14. This is something I’ve noticed the past few years, as my knowledge about equipment, technology and topics has increased due to the knowledgeable members here, other Forums and access to the OEM reps and tech people. i often have conversations with some players that are much better than me, like 2-7 handicaps. When topics of fitting, club specs, and other things we talk about here, come up, they don’t believe what I’m saying. They will actually say things like, all that stuff on the internet is by writers that couldn’t break 100. Or, if you spent more time practicing than readi

  15. I am not going to lie people, this post has taken me a long time to write and post. This is not a bad thing, I simply could not find the words to describe what happened this afternoon at 3 pm central time in a 25 MPH Oklahoma wind. I was a bit nervous going into the fitting, worried I would be taking a bad swing into an important fitting. That would prove to not be the case. I warmed up with a PW and then moved to my gamer, a Callaway Epic Flash Sub Zero, HZRDUS Smoke stiff shaft (60 grams). I hit some bomb drives to start off so it was pretty easy to get some good baseline numbers

Skipped warm-up with irons, so went straight to warming up with my driver. Currently having a bad streak of ballstriking with irons, so didn't want to have any of that. Went straight to warm-up and hitting initial shots with my gamer. My Gamer: Taylormade SIM Max 10.5, Ventus Velocore Red 5S When it behaves, it performs well. 18. Maiden voyage for my new Honma irons. 38/40:78 2 bogies and 2 doubles. Only hit 6 fairways but the misses were mostly just in the rough. Couple of bad tee shots with one ending up with a penalty stroke. Irons were fabulous; hit 12 greens, 1 was just off, and 1 was about 7 feet off. Need to add the 11 (gap) iron to the set. Shafts might be a little light but the clubs performed very well. My original thought was that these clubs were going to be about a club shorter than my Srixon's. In reality, I was getting about the same distance. The only green I missed on th

It is pretty highly regarded around here and it lived up to everything it’s been hyped up to be. If you’re ever in Western MA do yourself a favor and book a tee time. Had a 41/45 and really struggled 10-14 when some rain came in but was just a great round overall for my first run at the course. 7 pars 8 bogeys 3 doubles. Had my opportunities for multiple birds and just didn’t roll any putts. Burned several edges just nothing droppe

  22. Well. I won’t keep everyone waiting too long. Ill recap my fitting. Mine was pretty stock boring, I’m sure some of the faster guys will have some more exciting results. One great aside to start with. I arrived about 30 minutes early to warm up with a small bucket to get loose. My swing was in a very good place. I was really dialed in with the 7 iron, then about 6 of 7 drives to wrap up the warm up. I could have kept hitting that T200 7 iron all day, it was feeling so good. Anybody who read about my horrible range session on Tuesday, will know how happy this made me!

Couple of irons were pull hooks, but generally the ball was going on a good line. Still a few struggles with the short game, 0 up and downs on the 6 missed greens. Shot of the day was 10th hole, ball was at the bottom of bermuda rough, ball was below my feet, 148 to middle of green, 155 to pin. I have played 6 official rounds since the end of September and they have been 74 (par 70), 81 (par 72), 83, 84, 85, 83 (par 73) so very consistent . All of my counters for my world handicap are from September onwards so my golf has settled beautifully after my surgery.

  31. Fitting Recap I will try to keep it punchy because there is a lot to cover but if anyone has questions, fire away and I can elaborate. First, the Titelist Performance Institute is unreal. If you have a chance to go to a fitting there, definitely 100,000% do it! You're hitting off of basically a carpet-like fairway with your choice of ProV1 or 1x. The only downside was nerves, as I was getting fitted in between what seemed like two mini-tour guys just flat out striping the ball. One was a Beef lookalike hitting #bombs, and the other could have been a Louis O clone just puring MBs.

It was simple to set up the fitting. I just typed “Titleist Thursday” into Google and went to the Titleist Thursday page on the Titleist website. There is a big red tab labeled “Schedule Your Appointment”. I clicked on it and typed my city into the location tab. A list of golf courses showed up. I selected the closest club (red tab) and a list of available dates and times showed up. I selected a time that

  33. Short statement, I haven’t had a Driver I really liked since a Ping i20 I got 2nd hand as a throw in in a trade years ago. The i20 has an aftermarket Mitsubishi shaft that I loved. The head cracked and that was that. Now, I’m “wishing and hoping” (little plagiarism) that the Titleist TSi2 may be the perfect replacement, maybe. I did have a chance to hit this club the other day (more on that later) and with correct shaft it may be the one. If they ship a new driver to someone and they pull a jimmy hoffa MGS looks bad, so I think the content numbers do help prove the member is engaged and committed to providing the best test results they can give. I only have 200 plus content numbers and was selected to test golf balls in summer which was awesome. Due to my busy work schedule as of late and just life in general I haven't been as active as I was in the summer. I think if a member showed they are engaging in the dis

"The best is yet to be." I keep hoping my best golf is still in the windshield and not the rearview mirror, but it's hard not to look back on what was. I have to imagine it's the same for Wilson Golf. All those wins. All those majors. All those sales. Sarazen. Snead. Palmer. Casper. Miller. Irwin. Crenshaw. Langer. Daly.

I made it to day's finals which I'm proud of. I also played pretty well today shooting an 84, but two poor swings really hurt me. One was a drive that was only about 10 yards off the fairway but ended up against the front(%#*????!!!) of a tree which forced me to take an unplayable because naturally it settled into a hollow
