  2. Testers Wanted (4) Among all major companies these days marketing claims around drivers are getting out of control. Manufacturers would love for golfers to buy new drivers every year or two, at seemingly increasing prices—it’s what helps pay for those flashy advertising campaigns and big-name tour contracts. As a result, the price of drivers has exploded, and it becomes a vicious circle. Ben Hogan Golf is primarily thought of as an iron company, and rightfully so. But when it set out to design and build the new GS53 Driver, it did so with the serious golfer in mind. They feel the

Testers Wanted (5) 2 - Icon Irons 3 - PTX Pro/Icon Combo Sets If there is any company that should have an iron called Icon, you have to believe that Ben Hogan would be one of the few to justify such a name. Therefore an iron from his company bearing the name Icon, better be a good one. Four years ago this week, I was browsing my Twitter timeline, when I saw a Tweet thread by MyGolfSpy and it got pretty heated. However, Honma feels the TR20 drivers have what it takes to do that. The TR in TR20 stands for Tour Release and it’s replacing the confusingly named T//World 747 line. Honma is producing two drivers in the TR20 offering: a 440cc and a 460cc. According to Honma, the real TR20 driver story is weight, or, more precisely, it’s where the weight is and where it isn’t. 23. In my time at MyGolfSpy (both as a member and a moderator), I think the request I've seen most often is to compare this year's Most Wanted Driver against previous year's winners. Until now, this wasn't something a reader could do by comparing the results pages, because differing years' tests were compiled with different testers and sometimes with tweaks in methodologies. Thus, as strokes gained number from 2019 couldn't be compared straight up to the same number from 2018. UNTIL THIS YEAR! That's a big announcement and it's going to be very interesting to see the outcome.

I've always been in the "not rich guy playing a rich guys' sport" end of things, and so I was delighted to find one of Jason's earlier companies, Diamond Tour Golf.
