Partially. Maxfli has been my gamer anyways and I was due to buy some new balls. So figured why not try the Max Align since they were on sale. The rollout data from the AM9000 indicating quality consistency strengthened my choice.

It is also imperative to sacrifice at least 1 ball per round to the golf water god! The last thing needed is bad juju for the next round!

Received my B XS Mindset today!! First impression was met with mixed feelings. I've been gaming the Maxfli Tour/TourX for the last couple years, and the last couple weeks been getting used to the new Maxfli MaxAlign. I used to play the Bridgestone Tour B X pretty consistently last in 2020/21. Loved the distance, just wanted more greenside feel and control which led me to the Maxfli. On to the unboxing. The box itself is pretty visually appealing on the front. Back, too much text for me. Looks like an overcrowded PowerPoint presentation slide. I understand the need to be multi-lingual these days, but I don't recall noticing it before on any packaging. There is so much information on the box and sleeves the font started getting really small having both English and French on the package. On the sleeves, I really had difficulty reading the Red, Yellow, Green Mindset process and needed my phone camera to zoom in on it. Really made me feel old!! I'm only 41 and do wear glasses but overall pretty good vision. Even close up in the sleeve image below it is a little difficult to read. Especially the white font on the yellow box for Visualize. On to the ball itself. One weird thing for some reason I always liked how the depression dimples Bridgestone felt in my hand. I don't know how to describe it but just feels nice to me. Looking at the Mindset graphic itself, I don't know but I feel like it could have been just a tad bigger. Or at least make the arrows outside "Identify" circle bigger (could probably even go same width as the circles). There's still a bit of open room on the ball. Maybe I just got used to the new MaxAlign on my gamer Maxfli. I would have loved to put these in play next week, but I'll be heading up to go to Round 1 at Augusta next week. While I will get a round in on the road, I don't want to add in variables of a course I've never played before and grass I'm not used to playing on. So most likely won't get to hit the Mindset until after mid-month.

Dick's/GG often runs 4 dozen for $120 specials so down to $30/dozen if you go that route and set for more than a year!! Right now they have the max align 2 doz for $70 (sorry I originally put $75) and the non-max align 4 doz/$120. I had a $20 gift credit so I actually got my 4 doz max align for $100!!

I used to play the Tour B X loved the tee distance but had a tough time holding greens. So then switched back to the ProV1X/Maxfli TourX. Just picked up the Maxfli TourX Max Align which can be used in similar concept. I definitely pick a dimple on the ball to focus on.

I used to watch a lot of Alex Elliot and Chris Ryan for tips. Still do on occasion. But nothing ever really stuck. I'd be so up and down (just not around the green haha). For me instruction wise, The Art of Simple Golf https://www.youtube.com/@TheArtofSimpleGolf has really helped level up my game. Been in the mid/upper 80s since I started implementing his stuff last fall and finally started dropping strokes off my handicap. Need to clean up wedge distance control to get to low 80s. So next step is more course management videos and how to break 80. Equipment wise love Ian TXG with their knowledge and data. Just wish rest of Club Champion was like him. I was lucky with my original CC top 100 fitter, but my fitter moved further north from me and the new CC guys were worthless.

Just received my shipment of max align. I must say looking at pictures posted I was a little skeptical on the looks. Once I opened a box I was pleasantly surprised. First thought was I kinda like this look. I like how the arrows go completely around the ball. Definitely would prefer this over triple track. Already had pictures in my head of rolling putts. Looking forward to putting this in play!!

Exactly what I was asking. Thank you very much for throwing some data up. I was hoping to see something there, but MGS Ball Lab had such a high quality score for Maxfli, it makes sense we didn't see any difference. Just good to verify. My order shipped today, so should be here Monday!

I definitely use it off the tee. Love the ball performance regardless. I’ve hit plenty of great iron shots having random alignment. Just curious to see if we could verify or debunk the marketing.

Or if you see a noticeable widening of dispersion.....hitting against the CG line. Part of the Maxfli CG Alignment marketing claim is that hitting in alignment with the ball's MOI reduces side spin and therefore offers improved distance.

Down to my last dozen of TourX from last year. I have a $10 reward from DSG and they are offering the Maxfli's 4 doz for $120 so figured why not give the Max Align a shot and pulled the trigger! I typically use the CG align off the tee but have been too lazy to try to take time to line up the alignment with my putting aim. Perhaps I'll give it a shot with this. Interesting question to the testers since they have the trackman out....Does the CG Align really make a difference off the tee??? Could you guys hit some drives with the alignment in line with club face/aim and then hit some with the ball purposely misaligned (CG arrow perpendicular to club face)?

For me the X flies higher than the Tour just like ProV1 vs ProV1X. I found performance nearly identical to ProVs. Tour/ProV1 give me a lower more piercing trajectory by about 3-4 degrees lower launch. On average this was about 8-10 more yards off the tee. I would get more roll out with irons and wedges and sometimes have difficulty holding greens on approach. X with the higher flight and descent angle gave me back approach control where I can bring the ball back slightly or it stops 12-18 inches from initial landing. So in good conditions I’ll gladly give up 10 off the tee for approach control. Recently I started tinkering with playing Tour in windy conditions above 10mph to keep decent driving distance and using X when winds are 10mph or less.

Maybe I just lucked out then. After base lining my current gamers, my CC fitter starts with heads on either the same shaft I am gaming or something very close. We went through a few heads to see what gains in dispersion and/or distance can be made. Then we went through some shafts to see if we can tweak numbers from there with a couple of the heads we downselected. So not all CC fittings are the same based on the fitter.

That’s true they do seem to rotate. My fitter actually moved 30 minutes further north to a new CC store. But I wasn’t going to take any chances on a new guy so had to bite the bullet and drive an hour to get to his new CC store! Just happened to have my fitting right after NFL QB Jacoby Brissett.

Not entirely true. See my post a few back. Sure I tried some exotic iron shafts, but at the end of the day we found some great numbers, then my Club Champion fitter looked up the OEM offerings for the head I selected and picked what OEM profile he thought most closely matched my best numbers/most comfortable to me. CC had various True Tempers and KBS that now are offered directly from OEMs. Then he ordered the stock clubs from the manufacturer to the rest of my specs. So basically he placed the order to the OEM for me.

One thing not mentioned yet, I started my search looking at the Golf Digest Top 100 Fitters. https://www.golfdigest.com/story/clubfitter-directory-americas-best-clubfitters/amp Golf.com has a list as well I believe and maybe a couple other sites. Then go look at the reviews for the store/location and see where specific fitters are mentioned. I chose from that list and wound up at Club Champion. Been through full bag fitting woods, hybrids, irons (2 sets now), and wedges. Woods and hybrids I had no problem paying for upgrades shaft since it’s only a couple clubs, but irons any exotic shaft upgrade can easily add $800-$1000 to the set. For my irons, i made clear my objectives, desire and budget. While mentioning how their builds are more precise and checked more closely (and subsequently more expensive) once we dialed in the best upgraded shaft/head for my irons, my CC fitter then went back and double checked mfg stock shaft offerings with the head we selected to help try to keep me more on budget. Luckily we did find a stock offering that had very similar performance to the optimized setup and my fitter had no problem placing an order for me directly from the club manufacturer. My fitter has gotten to know my swing and does not try to get me to change anything in my swing. My first set of irons were PXG with Stiff KBS C-Taper shafts. Next set of irons I said I wanted more feel and he put me in a Regular flex with the new KBS Tour Lite (Cobra Forged Tec). I was very hesitant on going to regular flex (high swing speed and aggressive transition) but the numbers and feel didn’t lie! He hit a home run for me. Subsequently he waives the CC fitting fees since he knows I’ll buy from him. I haven’t paid for fitting since 2018 which was the first time I bought a full bag for $175 when they had a 50% off promo.

Payntr does offer wide shoes. I bought the X001F Gray wide last year. Love the traction, stability and grip when it's wet outside. They are in my regular rotation. I will say the 001F do seem to run 1/2-1 size small. I would the the biggest downside is the limited colors. Their newer wide offerings on their website actully suggest to size down 1/2 size.

I’m still having the same issues. Next round going to try just using my Arccos GPS data on my iPhone Lock Screen for data to front/middle/back of green. When I get rid of Arccos and look to upgrade rangefinder I’ll most likely stop looking at the budget products and just invest in the latest hybrids like the Garmin z82.

I currently have 5 wedges! Just got a new set of Cobra Forged Tec X irons upgrading from PXG 0211 Gen2. The Cobra set PW and GW are 3 degrees strong lofted. PXG 0211 PW was 45 deg and Forged Tec X PW is 42 deg and GW is 48 deg. Then I have 50, 54 and 58 Mizuno T22s. I've only had the Cobra's for 2 rounds now and don't have good distance numbers for the PW and GW yet so kept the 3 Mizunos in the mix. Only hit the Cobra PW once in the 2 rounds and haven't used the GW yet. Avg 9i distance looks to be 153 yds and PW single shot was 138. I have my 50 T22 at 110 yds, 54 at 90 and 58 at 70. So imagine I'll need to keep that GW in there and keep going with the 5 wedges.

Also, in addition to to what everyone else already said, can't overlook grip. Perhaps grip weakened and trail hand is too much on top of the club?
