  1. It doesnt take much to fall back to the pack. A simple slip on some steps (DJ), wrong step in a hole or slippery cart path (BK) can tweak a knee or back and throw the swing timing off. A new baby and family life can take time away from your schedule pretty quick. Or like in Duvalls case maybe dominating the game loses meaning and mentally he checks out enough to become a mere mortal on the course. I dont see anyone making a run at this point and if he does fall back it will be a flavor of the week at the top.
  2. AMEN to the pain management!! My swing changes week to week depending on the physical challenge. The most common due to back issues limiting turn is a trail foot slide and spin that makes me look like Scheffler and Players love child! The other one showing up this year is left shoulder & arm pain that makes a 3/4 swing the max. I just play the swing of the day and aim left to allow for the ugly ball flight to get back on target.
  3. My draws seem to run out more than my fade.
  4. Congrats to the testers and thank you to LAB and MGS for making it happen.
  5. Congrats to the winners for their picks and for excelling in reading comprehension!!
  6. We had some exciting weather this afternoon....the putting green will need some attention from the leaf blower. VID_20240415_160343864.mp4
  7. I wonder what the sports books would do if Schefflers wife goes into labor tonight?!?!?!?!
  8. Yeah...I would wonder what that's like..... Except I'm married!
  9. I don't think Morikawa needs Scheffler to struggle in order to win, he has two majors himself and his iron play can be at least as good as Schefflers. I was looking for his rank in putting this week but haven't found it yet to compare to Schefflers rank at 36 per @cnosil .
  10. I think a certain infamous Odyssey putter would be an appropriate prize for last place!!
  11. I hadn't heard about the JT & Bones split either! I didnt pay attention to who was wearing the caddie coveralls in the TV shots.
  12. I predict you finish stronger than JT did yesterday!!!
  13. With a +6 cut line i was surprised reading through the full leaderboard that the highest score was a +15 for both rounds. 83 was the highest 2nd round score i saw posted which isn't too bad considering the field average for the day. Usually you see a couple guys that completely lose their game and concentration in conditions like that and are north of 85. Also... JT must have gone brain dead at the end of the 2nd round, he was +7 on his last 4 holes. It would be interesting to hear the conversation between him and Bones to see what Bones said to try to bring him out of it.
  14. I was going to say 13 but all you guys on 13 will have the tee box backed up. So i think i will play 12 three or four times while you guys are tying up 13. With all the commotion on 13, they will never notice me looping back ro the tee box a few times.
  15. I have it on my irons and hybrids to get swing weight to exactly match. None on my driver since i can get various weights for the G410 to put in heel or toe locations. None on my current set of wedges....yet!
  16. I hate those inside little pockets because a tee will at some point get caught in it with the pointy side up. And it will stab under my fingernail when i reach my hand in.
  17. PX LZ 6.0 are in the Mizunos and work very well for me. I thought about trying a steelfiber set up but decided i really dont have the time to properly work through the experiment at this time.
  18. It was the first night of play in the 9 hole league. 6 pars, 1 double and 2 bogeys got me to a 40. I hadnt played in over a month and hadnt touched a club for about two weeks so my expectations werent high. My opponent really struggled so even without playing anywhere near my league handicap of 1 i took 7 of 9 points. So i am are off and running - playing my weekly 9 now!
  19. Thank you for the opportunity!!! Cut line is -1 and better Hagestad will be the low am.

    LPGA

She is on a really hot streak and now probably has the mental edge over opponents like Scheffler does on the mens side.
  21. Good morning, the rain has moved on from our area and there is some blue sky to be aeen! That means a long day of outside projects trying to make a dent in the list that has been on hold all week. I doubt i will be freed up for the afternoon call unless i am driving between jobs. Have a great day!
  22. Regarding lead tape you can put some on the shaft and not just the clubhead. This might address the lighter shaft issue brought up earlier and not throw all the new weight out at the end of the club. How much and where to put it is a trial and error. To start i would put equal amounts if tape at grip end bottom and middle to get close to a total club weight of your longest iron.
  23. I will take Brooks for the LIV win. Dark horse is Theegala And i'll predict Phil wakes up and plays four solid rounds for a top ten finish. Unfortunately i think Rory puts too much pressure on himself to get the slam and has a horrific 2nd round but does back door a top ten finish.
  24. Like @GolfSpy_APH said break it down into smaller chunks and dont think about a final score. In addition to what he said take the round 3 holes at a time and try to get a 14 on each of the three hole groups. You get a fresh start every 3 holes so if you miss the target score on one set it doesnt seem so bad for the whole round. It takes your focus off a total score for the round. It is a small mental thing but seems to work for a lot of people.
  25. The gamers know those are all in the house just waiting to step into the starting lineup. Thats what keeps the gamers from misbehaving on the course. Much like a strong bench in basketball pushes the starters, it sounds like essential equipment to me!
