  1. This will be a great test.  The SM9s in my bag have been impressive.  Looking forward to the reviews.  Good luck to all prospective testers!

    PING S159 Wedges

       400

These wedges look great. I have been eyeing these for a while.  I would love to try them around the greens since depending on the criteria it picks an E or T grind.   I think they would give my current Vokey gamers a run for their money.

The App is interesting though, it’s a bit more detailed than the Titleist inputs.   Interestingly it doesn’t give specific shaft choices and weight etc.  Also the gapping results are interesting.  I have always used a 52.  May be that’s a mistake…

i will have to check these out at the store.

That’s a great looking iron! Might want to clean your clubs before taking a picture next time though! 🤪 what are the 4 dots on the club face for? Did you add them or do they come like that?

They are dots for a GC Quad

  3. The Haywood irons are great.  Had the Signatures in the bag for a few years and I tested the CB  7 iron with a premium shaft to test and really liked it.

Josh is great.  Can’t wait to see the new fitting studio in Vancouver.

    Good luck testers

  4. This is an interesting test.  I tried the Stealth 2 last year, my numbers were very good but it was not too forgiving for me.  Haven’t had a TM driver in the bag since my TM M3 was my gamer back a few TM generations ago.  I tried it out again prior to applying for this test and I found it still very good.

The Tensei Blue S flex M3….Not as much distance as my gamer but it still found a lot of fairways and the spin was pretty good.  Distance was down at least 15 - 18 yards compared to my optimized TSR3. That being said it was a simple fit back in the day with just a stock shaft, so not too surprising.

  5. I can’t attest that these gloves are just fantastic!  Have had them for a few months and they were perfect in the rain!  I have used FJ and Srixon gloves before but these RR rain gloves are the best!

Looking forward to hearing about the gloves from people in very rainy places!

I live in the Pacific Northwest.  I know rain.

I think someone in the UK and someone in the PNW should definitely test this rain gear since they are playing in rain all the time.

We get snow up here in Canada, but there is no snow golf gear, so we should all be thankful for that! 😂

I believe the correct grip for your clubs is vitally important, but often overlooked.  Typically when I replace my clubs, I will replace most of them with my go-to grip, but will try a new model on one or two clubs.  Using an air compressor to replace grips makes it easy to change grips.   Good luck to all that enter.

i agree, grips are a critical component to your shots, but I think we choose them without really taking into account what works best.  Since I bought some used clubs with existing grips it has gone me second guessing on what I should be using.

I would love to see a grip testing challenge for testers where 2 grips would go head to head perhaps on alternating irons and woods.
Lamkin vs Iomic would be an interesting test.
