  1. Does anyone have two bags? One cart bag and one carry bag?
  2. Some of my best rounds have been after a long break. i thinks its because i go with zero expectations and stay out of my own head.
  3. Since returning to golf and experiencing the fitting process, I've become extremely interested in club fitting. Has anyone become a certified club fitter and which course did you take? What would you recommend to someone looking to get into the profession?
  4. You bring up a great point with approach shots. What separates PGA pros from everyone else, even + handicap player is their accuracy with approach shots. Once you complete you fitting and receive your clubs, make sure you complete a "micro fitting" or "Gapping Session" same thing just depends on what the fitter calls it. This will make sure the yardage between clubs is evenly spaced. Stat from Mike Bury; The worst ranked putter on the PGA tour in 2020 averaged 30.28 putts per round. If you average 36 putts per round, you would be 24 strokes behind in a 4 - round tournament just on the putter.
  5. First, congratulations on your improvement. Dropping 20 strokes is impressive. If you haven't gone for a club fitting you should. I was "fit" for irons back in 2012. The only fitting adjustments made were to loft and lie. A few months ago I went for a full bag fitting and my mind was blown by the amount of information that was gathered. The club fitter test different shafts and clubheads to optimize ball speed and dispersion. For wedges, I learned about bounce and grinds. How both directly impact turf interaction and the shot shape based on your swing. I say all that to say, to drop another 20 strokes would be nearly impossible. But now that you have taken lessons and understand your swing and it's fundamentals, having clubs the proper fit will allow you to score better around the course.
  6. Dynamic Gold website has .355 listed for tapered shafts. If you have access to a caliper you could measure then.
  7. Are your old shafts tapered or parallel?
  8. Another reason why I'm looking for a new club fitter.
  9. Thanks for the information, I just looked at cobras website. I see what they list for swing weight. I'm assuming since I have custom shafts, thats why my weights are different. Whats most concerning is my weights are consistent.
  10. Although I had a full bag fitting, me and the fitter went separate ways before I could complete the process (never went back for a gapping session nor has he seen me hit my new irons because). I haven't found a new one yet. I'm working on finishing my set build now.
  11. Should the swing-weight be the same for all my clubs? What method do you use to find the best swing-weight for you? I've seen people have the same weight for different club groups (Woods, irons/Hybrid, Wedges). I just figured out my weights: D - C9.8 3W - C9.5 H21° - C8.5 5i - C9.1 6i - D0.2 (this isn't a typo) balance point to Grip end with this shaft is pretty short 7i - D3.8 8i - D4.8 9i - D4.1 PW - D3.0 54° - D4.4 58° - D6.0
  12. Really wish they they updated their platform to use android as well.
  13. Looks like a lot of different rangefinders are in sale.
  14. Prime day starts tomorrow. What's everyone looking for? I'm hoping to pick up some rain gear and maybe a launch monitor.
  15. I have a hoofer 14 and a pushcart, just let me know what type of photos you are looking for and I'll take them.
  16. Awesome, do they have an. App or only online?
  17. Anyone using an online "club" to get their handicap?
  18. What rain gear is everyone wearing?
  19. I'm playing at white plains golf course Monday at 1210 if anyone is available.
  20. I recently picked up my first hybrid (Cobra SZ 21°) and really like the feel of the stock (UST Recoil 480 ESX (F4)) shaft. Across my Woods and Hybrid i see a higher torque value. What are some other decent high torque shafts options?
  21. I enjoy TXG videos and this was the first practice drill video I've seen of theirs. I saw the off name brand version (Thanks) I decided to ordered it. I figure if I end up using it during my range sessions I'll spring for the "Name Brand" version.
  22. New to the site and forum. I moved back to Maryland last year after being gone for 15 years. Currently living in Southern Maryland. I'm always available if someone needs "one more" for a round. I'm really working on my game since returning to golf after a 5+ year layoff.
