  1. I have the 39” Jailbird 380 and love it so far. I have an extra Stability Tour shaft sitting around and I’m debating swapping out the steel shaft for it. I’ve used the stability shafts on other putters and like them a lot. The 17” putter grip and length would all stay the same for counter balancing. Are there any downsides to this that I should be aware of? Would you recommend doing this?
  2. Just curious how everyone visually lines up the ball. For example, I have a BirdieBall putting mat in my garage, I absolutely suck at visualizing a line to the hole so really trying to work on it. If I have my ball anywhere on the mat, I try and draw a line from the middle of the hole back to the ball but am very inconsistent in getting the line right (I miss putts way left or way right). I tried standing behind the ball and lining the shaft of my putter from the middle of the ball to the middle of the hole to try and see the line leveraging that since it's straight and that's helped slightly. Does anyone have any other recommendations on how to see the line to the target spot? I'm trying this approach because I can pick a spot an inch in front of the ball and can line up decently to that but the spot but the spot I pick is usually wrong in relation to the right line that would get the ball in the middle of the cup (on a straight putt). Any suggestions would be helpful.
  3. Does anyone know if you can use the stove flame to break up the epoxy on the top portion of the steel rod that gets inserted into the stability shaft? I don't know if heating up the stability shaft part with high heat would melt it or cause an issue? Would you need a shaft puller to remove the steel rod or could you just twist it out? In addition, could you heat up the LA golf shaft (specifically talking about the p-soho shaft) with direct high heat like that because I believe it's mainly considered steel? Could you also twist it or would you need a shaft puller for that as well?
  4. I've struggled with getting proper alignment with my putter for awhile. I think I've finally settled on a Seemore Nashville MFGP SS Blade Black because it has the alignment line on the top and with a blade which I like better than a mallet. The initial white paint on the alignment line chipped off. I've read previously that red stands out the best against the green so I'm debating using red instead of the initial white to try it but not sure if it will be too visually distracting. Does anyone have any recommendations on what color to use for the easiest visual alignment? I'm assuming it's personal preference but not sure if there is any science behind it really.
  5. Saw this video tonight and it’s incredible. Could really help some people with their putting. Just wanted to share. https://youtu.be/qp6k5d8FJOA
  6. Don’t have stats unfortunately. However, on the course I struggle mightily from 5 feet and in with pulls left. I’m much better from further away my or at least feels like it. It’s much more consistent even on the indoor mat I have, I rarely miss from the 9 feet and it’s just going left from 4 feet. I feel like if it’s slower my face closes faster
  7. Yes, my miss is always left. I mean for inconsistencies is that one day they are going fairly straight and other days it's left it's right. It's harder to manage the face when the path is different depending on the day (I know that can be said for anything in golf haha)
  8. I'm just trying to keep my middle section very square to the line and rock the shoulders. I feel like I'm powering it with my left side actually and then I feel like I really have to side bend or force my hands around the left side on the follow through to keep the arc.
  9. I’m working on my putting and for some reason I can’t get my putter to continue on an arc after impact. It goes out to the right leading to very inconsistent putts. I’m attaching a photo at impact which I can get the putter back fairly ok to square but the second pic you can see it travels out to the right. Any drills or feelings you can recommend to get it to continue on the inside and follow the arc? Thanks!
  10. I got mine today (ordered directly from their website) and my initial thoughts are wow. I got the B14 and it is so clean and good looking. I had the B6 putter and the 14 is so much cleaner and the curved lines are much easier on the eyes in my opinion. In terms of feel, it's softer and feels more forgiving. I like the feel a lot better than the previous version. The weighting is also perfect. If you can't tell, I love it so far.
  11. @Tom the Golf Nut thank you. Would that also cut steel shafts or do you need a different disc?
  12. @cnosil Thank you very much. If I just get a Dremel and a wheel, do you know if I need any special type of wheel for the Dremel?
  13. I’m debating trying to install these shafts myself. I obviously will need to cut it to length. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to cut these and the tool to use to avoid splintering it or ruining the shaft? In addition, any tricks to sand it where it goes into the hosel for the epoxy?
  14. I was just watching the video on how Edel does their aim test. I'd like to try and replicate it at home to work on my aim. Did anyone ever build this? Do you have a link to like a little disc to hold the laser? Mirror for the putter face? Background to capture the reflection back? I look forward to hearing if anyone ever was able to set this up at home. Thanks!
  15. Just out of curiosity and I know it's different for each golfer. What is your preference and easier to line up, the single line or a triple track? Traditionally, I've used the single line but interested on the thoughts of lining it up with the triple track instead and if you've had any better success or any other things you've found.
  16. I don't use the line on the ball because I focus on that too much so I pick a spot a couple of inches in front of the ball and that's my target line. I have a decent stroke and can get the ball started online but my eyes mess with me. I'm right-eye dominate and when I stand over a putt I would try and align the alignment marker on my putter with the target line. However, doing it this way the putter alignment line never really look close to my target line so I had* no confidence. Oddly enough, I realized the last round that when I am within a couple of feet and just hit it standing sideways for the most part with my right hand I noticed the alignment looks really good. For the back nine, I tried a different approach and stood with my chest facing the hole and aligned it like a one-hand putt, and then stood over the ball to putt. I putted a 1000% times better since I was already aligned with the target a couple of inches in front of the ball. For the right eye dominate golfers, how do you align your putter to your target line? I'm experimenting with the same stance and putting my head directly over the ball, head slightly behind the putter head, head a couple inches closer to my body to see what gives me the best sight line to align the putter with my target spot. Any suggestions on what works well for you would be greatly appreciated!
  17. I'm interested in trying and potentially purchasing the Studio Stock 28. It seems like the last release was 2021 and I can't seem to find any in stock around me here in NC. I know I can buy it on their website but I was hoping to try one in store. Does anyone know if they'll have a new release for 2023 or what their release schedule looks like so they'll have more in stock at retail stores?
  18. Oh man, I'd buy that Jet Newport 2 in a second. I love the Scotty's and love the look of the jet alignment. I'll probably never see one in the stores but that is a thing of beauty and really the only thing keeping me from the traditional blades. What is your best tricks for alignment when it's on the flange and a top flat line?
  19. What are your thoughts on having a top line on a blade putter? I don’t know of many other blades with a top alignment line other than a seemore. I have it on a mallet or two like the phantom x 5 and think I like it compared to it on like a Newport 2 for example. The only problem is I think I focus too much on the alignment being perfect (I usually have a line on the ball to a spot I want to hit at). Not sure if a ping PLD would be better with absolutely no line. Curious on others thoughts about the alignment marks. I like the feel of a blade better because it just feels lighter but not a lot of options if you like the top alignment aid.
  20. I'm in the Charlotte area, did you hear back from your friend here to see if he has any recommendations? I got fitted previously at Club Champion but in the market for a new driver and potentially new irons as well. Appreciate any insights.
  21. Has anyone bought this and used it since Mygolfspy tested this out? I bought it and waiting for it to ship but very nervous about the reviews I've seen especially since I'd use it mainly indoors.
