Far and away... slow play. A distant second is excessive time reading the green before putting.

I was at the range yesterday for about 45 minutes with a "high quality ball striking" objective. The process was to concentrate on: 1/ Take away, 2/ Swing plane, (biggie as this is causal for my miss), 3/ Sense of relaxed wrist at apex, 4/ Hip turn I sampled my way through the bag and then "played a few holes". For an imaginary par 4, starting with driver, I picked a target and hit. Then used a mid iron to a flag target. Next a wedge. For an imaginary par 5, same start with driver, then I hit a fairway wood to a target. I finish the hole with and 8 or 9 iron. All shots were to targets. I had a few balls left and hit 56 and 60 degree wedges to flags.

Just switched to Scotty Cameron Kombi from Odyssey Black #5. SC was a barely used "Mid" I've had around for many years, cut the shaft to 35 and changed to the lightest weights. Regripped it too.

Sluggo’s Golftec Lessons
JDunc55 replied to Sluggo42's topic in Lessons, Drills, Mental Game, and Fitness Tips
Thoroughly enjoying this thread. I took lessons at Golftec just after the pandemic started. In Southern California the courses were open, I was working from home and the opportunity seemed ideal. A friend and I bought the 13 lesson package, same instructor. Comparing instruction didn't work as we have different swing dynamics. But I got a lot out of the lessons - especially the video! I missed the last 3 lessons and a few months of golf due to a separated shoulder from a bad bicycle accident. (My profile picture is from while I was waiting for the ambulance ) Point is, in the time from the crash until I could swing again, my recall of the instruction (setup, arm position, turn, etc) wasn't so great. It's coming back to me with rounds and range time ... even that "baby draw"! Thanks for your post and running account of your progress - I picked up a few things I can use! -
Yes! Keeps arms cooler and provides UV protection. Lots of good options available these days. Most recently have purchased STORYI - good goods. Super comfortable.
