  1. After a cross country route on the par 5, 12th hole, I hit a 86 yard shot that hopped once and into the hole for eagle.
  2. Well, I got bored and impatient and bought a new Srixon ZX 3 wood with the black smoke shaft... Unhit. I hope I like it. I'm hoping to get another 20-30 yards
  3. I wasn't really joking. Many people use different irons to chip. I think there is a percentage calculator of "fly to roll" out there on this but I don't how it can relate to the roll of every green.
  4. How are you liking the "pro" package? I am on the fence for it...
  5. My new "thorn in the side" is my putter. Struggling with everything but it is my own fault for now practicing more. Watched a video with Bryson and I hope it helps with my loooooong putts that have been horrendous...
  6. It was good of the guys to do this. However as good as it was, he would have never done it or tolerated for anyone else in his younger years according to just about everyone close to him.
  7. Honestly, I have had less "missed reads" with the RCTs. I'm not sure about the accuracy because I don't have a way to test that but they do seem pretty consistent.
  8. They are worth it. I have no problems with them getting picked up by the machine. So much better than the dots.
  9. We had a guy here that was in our group that has Parkinson's and the guys would drive him, tee the ball and he had a pick up thing on his club to get his ball for him. This went on for 4ish years, at least 3 times a week.
  10. I put my clubs in out of curiosity and they gave me $258/$225... I sold mine for $200 more than the cash offer.
  11. I use the alphard with the triswivel cart. This set up works phenomenal. Easy to control and fold up is reasonably easy. I can't say how easy it is compared to others but I'm pretty satisfied with the speed and the functionality of the unit. It didn't take much to hook it up to my existing cart and work really well. I'm guessing it costs about a grand to get into the cart and the electric motor which is pretty close to some of the other units but I still think it's about 300 more to get into the other units with the same functionality. Doesn't have a problem getting anywhere I needed to go and for the most part depending on the course you're in it doesn't really need the wheelie bars. Most people are envious of the setup when they see it.
  12. I just finally sold my old irons on FB market place. It worked out well in the end but dealing with the tire kickers was tiring. I think I had them bargained for and sold 3-4 times where they weren't picked up. Do yourself a favor and tell prospective buyers that you don't do any online negotiations or list the price as firm. Unless you enjoy fruitless conversations.
  13. I don't have cable, so live professional golf on youtube for free... Well... I might have to watch a little...
  14. Some of the guys have to be realistic about possibly being a major winner and see the benefits to their retirement. Freudian slip?...
  15. As soon as I saw this I thought, "Did Warrior change the name of their business?" I remember Warrior had my number and the offer for free irons was sent to me in my early stages of playing again. I was on the phone getting all set up for my "free clubs." At the end they wanted my credit card number for "handling fees." That was when I pulled the plug....
  16. They will send you a check for 5-6 times more than the amount promised. You have to send the extra cash back right away after deposit...
  17. I just finished the last of the 2020-21 B-X's and still really like the ball, but the cover still seems less resilient than the Pro V1x. I tried and really like the left dashes so I bought a dozen and am pretty happy with the play. Less spin but still pretty good control. You should try a sleeve.
  18. Maybe some Adidas BOA's... Price is so high for them though... May have to wait a minute...
  19. That may be so but there's like 20 yards of unusable green on that hole.
  20. There's something wrong with that course if that green is that bad. They need to scrap it and re-level it and make reasonable undulations.
  21. I do not like hybrids either. I did get a seven wood which I think is okay and not so "Old Manny." I like it but I tend to prefer my three iron. I ended up not using it as much as I thought I would so it basically just sits in my golf room most of the time.
  22. I'll start. My dreaded 50º... I can't seem to hit it without flipping (on the course) no matter how hard I try not to. It is about to drive me insane... I'm thinking of putting it in time out for a few rounds.
  23. I had a couple really good chips that were left to tap in pars, but the best quality shot would have been an 8 iron for a layup on a par 5, 475-yard hole. A (I assume) flyer lie, where I was blocked out by trees on the right. Took it 166 over the trees to the middle of the fairway leaving me 94 yards out. Strike was pure and flew perfectly. Game fell apart shortly after that though...
