Simulators are becoming more affordable, and more golfers will have them in their homes. With improved graphics, multiplayer environments, and AI coaching, simulators will become the first choice for many golfers and may potentially reduce the number of rounds played on real golf courses.

Fitting does help the average golfer, regardless of how well you swing the club. The key is to focus on what feels good for you and what will help you with repeatability. Do not focus on distance alone. If you feel you are pressured into buying high-end shafts or clubs because that is what the fitter is pushing, walk away.
