  1. I agree with what most have recommended with sticking to one shot shape and practice it as much as possible. Being able to use the other shape if absolutely necessary is good to know but to have trust and confidence in one shape is the best. I think it opens more of the fairway too because you can sim up one side and trust it will move the whole length of fairway width where if you sim up the middle with both misses you have half the distance on either side to miss.
  2. Wow awesome contest prize! Can’t wait to see who wins and then posts pictures of their custom wedges.
  3. Had some time to hit the range today. I worked on something I saw on txg this last week on playing my shot shape and then working on a dependable stock shot off the tee. Arccos shows me if I reduce penalty strokes I could save 1.5 strokes a round over the last 15 rounds. I have had a bad double cross coming into play costing me more strokes than usual lately so it was nice spending time working on shaping it one way today. Hopefully it translates this weekend.
  4. Hi there ventus TR 7X CALLAWAY TIP Measures 44 without head will play 45.25. Tipped .5 inches. 250 shipped via ups.
  5. Loved my The Office headcover so I asked if he could make an Angels cover and he was able to. Looks awesome and finally can rep my favorite team on the course. Can’t recommend Tactical Caddy enough for custom or unique headcovers.
  6. Down 46 this year sticking to weight watchers and nit even exercising besides walking and golfing twice a week. I have noticed I have more stamina golfing and more flexibility now that there is less weight to swing through. Overall sticking to it and have 15 more to be at goal weight.
  7. May regret this one but swapped my PLD flat face prime Tyne for this beauty. My best putting days have come from a blade and a plumbers neck. I absolutely love the simplicity of this at address and never liked a line on a putter. I guess my never ending search for the right putter continues.
  8. I’m thinking about what grip to try besides a Superstroke flatso on my PLD putter. I putt cross hand and like less taper than the stock pingman grip.
  9. Panda is right. See from Garmin Try syncing with Garmin Express on your computer. After trying the sync with Garmin Express, if you still do not see those prior rounds of golf on your online Garmin Connect account or within the Golf APP, please contact your regional Garmin Product Support
  10. Went out today. Round was cut short by some lightning but first drive of day was a bomb. Had some good ones after that stayed online. Best part, no snap hooks. Too bad my wedge game was off on hole 1. Could’ve been a birdie opportunity haha. Oh well looking forward to more experiments.
  11. Looking for historical or just the round? Here’s how a round vs when I select historical looks
  12. Not yet, going to play 9 tomorrow after work. I should get to warm up but it will be nice to see on course performance. Will post back after trying.
  13. Reach back out if it doesn’t work. The Fénix is a great watch for sure. You can even input all clubs and get averages over time.
  14. I have a Fénix 6x pro too. I am able to see the shot map. You might need to download the Garmin golf app because I’m able after each shot to select what club I used and even if I don’t select a club it shows me where I hit each shot in the Garmin golf app. It’s nice because it gives me a different data point than arccos. After a round, once I sync my watch to the Garmin connect app then my activity will show up in the golf app.
  15. I got this. I’m a little surprised because I played the tsi2 for a brief stint and it launched too high even with a Ventus black 6tx in it. I was more successful with tsi3 and now current rogue Triple diamond has been so great for me this season. The shaft is playable, I have tried it but I prefer a stiffer TX in high 60s but have had good success previously with heavier driver shafts before this new trend of lighter to swing faster.
  16. I agree a lot with the above to get lofts checked. Are shafts the same in both too? Maybe you swing one faster than the other? It wouldn’t be uncommon for the 45* to be a degree or two off and same with wedge. I would definitely check them out and get one fixed because it would be better to have clubs have different stock yardages to give you a more complete gapping.
  17. Having the flat face precious PLD model, that is a great explanation. It’s smaller heal to toe than my FIL Newport 2 and compact for a mallet. Awesome in between size of blade and mallet.
  18. For an upgrade, I’m not just looking at distance. For me the most important aspect is dispersion and helping me lower scores. The forgiveness on the current driver I. Playing, rogue triple diamond, was significantly more forgiving across the face than the original sim max driver I was playing prior. I have found more fairways or been right off the fairway and my strokes gained in arccos for driving has gone up. I think my max distance is very similar with my previous sim max but I am hitting consistently more good drives with this new head. Same shaft in both for me.
  19. Yeah I get that. I used to play at 44.5 then I went to 45.5 and didn’t notice much change in dispersion but settled on 45.25 after some more experimenting. That makes sense with weight, after going lighter I sometimes tinker with a tensei pro white 70tx and it is great until I need a nice smooth cut on 18 with the match on the line haha.
  20. From personal experience, I tried a Speeder TR 661TX recently for a few rounds, when it went well it was awesome but I had like 4-5 snap hooks and 3 went OB. Those are round killers. But if the head looks closed that will be hard to overcome I would think.
  21. Ball speed seems to be affected by strike location is my best guess. Your experience may differ, but with 110-113 I think it may help going heavier and shorter (if you’re playing stock 46ish length). i play LAGP AXS blue at 45.25 and it weighs closer to the 70 gram range. I find heavier helps me feel face more. I am surprised by the triple diamond looking closed, it looks very pleasing to my eye but that’s why we are all different. It may be time to try something else or try to get a new shaft to help center strikes more. out of curiosity which other heads are you considering?
  22. Just updated my WITB. I switched irons from zx5/Zx7 to TCBs and then switched a 4 iron for a 4 hybrid. So far so good in two rounds my approach has gone from -2.5 strokes gained a round to +.6. Some of it is the irons and a lot of it is my short game improving because of distances from 100-150 is my 60-PW primarily but all and all pleased in the two rounds thus far with the new set up.
  23. Well this is bad. In less than a month I mixed it up. So far I’m happy with the results. I have played one round and a nine hole round and my strokes gained approach with the new irons and top end of the bag. I love the 3 iron and figured I could use it as a tee club and potentially choke down and hit cuts with it if needed into long par 3s or par 5s. With me liking the 3 iron I figured why go to a 4 iron when I could get more versatility from a 4 hybrid. I can land them soft when needed or use it out of bad lies. I got a G410 hand me down from my dad and hooked it up with a ventus blue 10X, with the loft sleeve turned up to 23.5 and it’s been a great combo in the few rounds I’ve played with it. I use it or the 3 iron for the 3rd hole on my course and already hit 2 par 5s in 2 with the hybrid. Hopefully its not just a honeymoon period. I got too good of a deal to sell the Srixon irons and get the TCBs and I’m glad I made the switch. The turf interaction has been outstanding with the TCBs and I find the forgiveness to be very similar to the Zx7 or a t100 profile. My favorite addition is getting the set AW. I use it primarily for full shots or bump and runs. So far I find it is more forgiving than a sm8 and looks great behind the ball. some pictures of the new set up. I feel more confident now my bag is set than a month ago. Here’s to hoping all clubs remain for the rest of 2022.
