  1. I’ve tried spineless in the past but my foot had a tendency to slip every now and then. I don’t have have slipping issues with spikes. Also the hyperflex boas are as comfortable as any spineless I’ve ever worn. My course is pretty wet at my 2nd tee time off in the morning so I choose spikes 100% and rotate different pairs if I play consecutive days.
  2. That is a great point, sometimes there is one putter that doesn’t make sense but just works. I think grips can be adjusted to. I think my natural stroke is not lead hand low but I am more consistent getting ball on line with that grip and my roll is more true so I stick with it. If I used my natural grip, I would need a pistol style like pingman midsize or golf pride pro only red star.
  3. When I putt lead hand low I prefer a thicker grip like a Superstroke flatso 1.0. But when I have putted with a traditional grip something lime a traditional pistol shape or golf pride pro only red star has had better success than a Superstroke.
  4. If they work I’d definitely stick to it. Plus sometimes newer doesn’t always equal better scores. If you’re comfortable and know you can hit your shots that is all that matters.
  5. Welcome to the forum! Great bag of clubs. All are welcome high or low handicaps. Anything you’re looking to change or mix up in the next year in the bag?
  6. Looks like I need to go thrift shopping
  7. I agree with the cost of swag. I love getting stuff from courses I play at but I agree not a huge fan of paying 30 for a hat or 100 for a polo from top courses when I can get a new polo for 30 from TJ Maxx or find hats much cheaper. I am a sweater so hats don’t last too long in the summer months so that 30 is more painful when I burn through them haha.
  8. same here. Thee way I see it our luck has to change at some point. Can only go up from here.
  9. I clean after every round. My clubs are in my home office and I clean them when I get home from the round before they go in the closet. I like to keep them in the best possible shape and I like them to look clean. I also do the grips because I sweat a lot and it prolongs the life of the the grips in my mind.
  10. Keep us posted on the progress of the fitting and pictures of the end beauty.
  11. I pulled the trigger on an upgrade in the driving iron department. I am moving from my 716 tmb to a t200 utility with an AD DI 105x hybrid shaft. I got it at a price I couldn’t pass up. Will post pictures when it comes
  12. I would think it would be the fairway wood causing the issue. If you can hit your driver 290 a 13.5 strong lofted fairway wood would probably go 250-260ish. Could be a bad fit, might be too much spin or the wrong shaft. Could be the head and not the best contact or right launch.
  13. I love my PLD Tyne. Mine is the smooth face one but it has such great audio feedback and rolls it very smooth and true.
  14. That’s a great perspective and just goes to show you how important it is to get refit and try some of the newer stuff.
  15. Thanks for the find. Great they are explaining the new scoring. What an awesome resource for the average consumer to be able to have a starting point when getting a driver.
  16. Funny how things change. I now have Callaway Driver - first time ever with Callaway driver Srixon irons Titleist driving iron, fairway, Ball and wedges Ping putter - first ping putter ever Ogio bag
  17. Definitely. I should have reported back earlier. I was playing it at first with a tensei pro white 70tx until my AXS blue had the tip changed. My dispersion has shrunk since I started using it and I am placing myself in a lot of great places to score. If only my short game was on. Either way, once I put the AXS blue back in, holy cow the driver came alive. This past weekend I had multiple drives over 320 with hitting 12/14 fairways. The ones I missed, I still had serviceable shots just more of a me issue than the club. All my playing partners tell me don’t take that out of the bag and they have seen me play a lot of different drivers haha. They see what I’m seeing is my misses are better and I’m giving myself the ability to score when the rest of my game is working.
  18. I’ve been golfing for 8 years and am on my 3rd bag. I gave my first bag to my dad when I got a new one and my 2nd bag is still my travel bag. That being said, I have no reason to upgrade or change but I think I might buy a new bag this year haha. Too many that look nice and I like new things
  19. Down 31 this year from January. Walking multiple rounds a week definitely helps and weight watchers has helped me keep things in moderation. I love that I can still have pizza or whatever I feel but have to have in moderation. About 25 more from goal but I am only 8 pounds from where I was when I got married and 25 from my college baseball days
  20. I have the same watch. I love it. Great for any other activities outside of golf
  21. Agree with the above sentiment. It has the potential to help with swing speed but you don’t know until you try it for your swing. I love a heavy feeling rebar like Tensei pro white 70tx but on my not best days it takes a lot to get the most out of the shaft. The AXS blue 6x is definitely lighter, I wouldn’t say I swing it faster but I can put a more effortless swing and get very similar distances and playability on the course. I think it benefits me most on the last few driving holes of my course which require three good drives to get in scoring position. like the above poster said, some 55x might be softer to flex than a 6s. Depends on type of shaft and the profile to whether or not it will ultimately help.
  22. The triple diamond is such a great driver. I think you’ll be very pleased
  23. Miura is one of the highest quality forged irons out there. I know 2. Is very common but 3-4 may be a lot. I will have a pretty dramatic impact on bounce by changing loft by so much. Curious which irons you would move by this much?
