Gday all. Does anyone know where to obtain the driver weights for this club?? I have the 3 gram that came with it but would like to try something heavier. The weights from the Classic XL Custom do not fit unfortunately. Any info will be greatly appreciated!!

Hit my new 588 driver over the weekend with stock Matrix Ozik R bow tie shaft. A little unsure if I like it or not. I have a Miyazaki jDL 6 reg from a Classic XL that I still have. Is the JDL a better shaft???

I have a MB 3 wood I bought a long time ago on a whim . It’s ok but it’s nothing special. That’s why it’s in the garage and not in my bag...

Anyone ever hit one of these?? I just got mine in the mail and can’t hit it because of the continuously crappy weather here in Savannah. It’s a beautiful club in like new condition. I have the Classic and the Classic XL Custom and love both. Is this driver any better than the others?

I do not play XXIO clubs. Play Mizuno irons with Cleveland XL Custom 9.0 driver. My bro-in-law plays the XXIO . They look great but have not hit them yet.

I know what really turned my head was the way they feel off the putter. I putt with an old W/S Kirk Currie IV with no insert and the balls feel really really good coming off the face. AVX comes in 2nd.

Info on these is a little hard to come by since they are made in Japan. ( the sleeves are all written in Japanese) but from what I’ve been told and after research the only difference is the ink on one is gold and the other silver.. The gold has a pearlescent coating which is pretty awesome looking. Give em a shot and let me know what you think. Oh I have not been able to find any compression info...

Has anyone played these? They retail for 80.00 a dozen but I got them for 29.99. Played them today and must admit I was very impressed. I’ve played all of the top balls including Pro V1, Chrome Soft, AVX, Tp5, Wilson FG Tour, Cut Grey, etc and I must say these feel and play as well as any of them, and they have an ionomer cover. Spin is awesome especially for a non- urethane ball. I’m 60 years old and am not a long baller ( avg 220) but I was able to add another 7-10 yards with these on most drives. They’re also a very good looking ball and durable too. I ordered another dozen as these will be my go-to in the future. Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed..

Anyone ever heard of or played these?? Saw them at DSG while getting a club regripped. 2 and 3 piece balls. 25.00 and 35.00 respectively. Just curious. They have several choices of logos such as a shamrock, etc.

I have both drivers. I play the XL because the Miyazaki JDL 5R just feels better than the C Kia shaft that is mated to the Classic. Both are outstanding and even tho it’s 7 years old it’s in my bag. Both are forgiving and I can keep either in the fairway. The XL is adjustable and I have it set .75 left for a slight draw bias. I am a 11 handicap and love both. You can’t go wrong.

Anyone playing these? I was playing an R7 and Wilson Cortex. Cortex is a great club. Ran across Cleveland Classic 10.5( 2012 model) and decided to give it a try( loved the retro looks) came with Miyazaki 4R shaft( I’m 60) and I loved it.! Decided I wanted more rollout so bought Classic XL 9.5) adjustable. Came with Matrix Ozik what that just didn’t seem to work well. Constant slice whatever the adjustment was. Found a Miyazaki JDL 5R shaft and the difference is amazing. These are great shafts and excellent drivers. Either on is a winner although I get more rollout with 9.5. Grab one if you get the chance!
