  1. Yeah. Balancing the want vs need of making that investment. Trying to sell some things I’ve got lying around to make up for it. Also trying to find a good deal on FB to also try out if it makes THAT much of a difference without dropping serious coin.
  2. Hunting deals for electric cart. Joined a club that's pretty hilly, don't want to pay the cart fee for each round, but would be a joy to not push/carry clubs.
  3. For folks that have Zip AT or Zip, I've been keeping an eye on FB Marketplace to try to get one cheap and had a couple questions: - Any experience on how long they typically last? Like if one has 50 miles on it, lot of life left or maybe not? Not sure how many miles they typically get? - Would I be better off biting the bullet and getting one new for the customer service/support? Any thoughts/experience would be appreciated!
  4. Either first off or playing until it's dark.
  5. I know someone in NOVA that might be interested if so (it's me)
  6. Congrats! If you're looking to pass along that Alphard setup after we can test the range to see if it'll make it from WY to VA
  7. Gotcha. Also curious how far down into that data I can drill/how well it aggregates. Can I see every tee shot with driver on #1? Can I filter that down to last 20 rounds? last 10? So I could see maybe where I'm improving? Hopefully that makes sense.
  8. Considering picking up shot scope especially to learn more about dispersion with different clubs. I saw with the mystrategy piece you could plan on a course but all I saw was with similar handicap levels. Is it possible to take out everything but your own shots? Especially as I'm playing my home course more often, would love to be able to see all my shots on each hole to plan better. And along those lines, if I'm playing a new track, can I lay my specific dispersion pattern over that course to plan beforehand?
  9. Echoing what everyone else said. Biggest key is comfortable shoes. Push cart is absolutely worth it. You can probably keep an eye on FB marketplace and snag one on the cheap.
  10. This was funny timing. Listing popped up on FB with a clicgear 4.0 already outfitted with the booster. Little fishy because it was listed like it was sold that way vs. put together. Got scooped before I could get details
  11. Yeah I trying to pitch the person selling it on meeting to make it around 4 round trip for me, but they got a local buyer. I do have a DLX bag that I love so I think that would work well.
  12. Love it. I do like the ability to put it on whatever cart you have, which in theory, allows for the ability to switch it up if you need something more stable. I also saw the sidekick was dropping soon, which will be interesting to see how well that works as that also feels like a bit of a game changer
  13. As someone who recently got back active in golf and the forum, it looks like this "season" is coming to a close and don't want to miss out on the next if possible. Can someone link me to a place that has the layout/where I should look for that in the future? Much appreciated
  14. I might need to start dropping some hints around the in-laws... I was close to scooping a zip AT for $550 from FB marketplace but couldn't set up the 7 hour round trip in time
  15. Appreciate the tip on batcaddy. I've seen those but haven't seen anyone talk about actually having one. The Navigator AT from Costco seems like it would be the ideal fit for my situation. Good to know it might go on sale for Black Friday. And amen. Had a buddy say he'd make fun of me for being too young to use those and I was like "Why wouldn't I want to make it more enjoyable?!"
  16. Yeah I've looked into these some. I do have a nitron that it would fit. Hesitations are putting it on a push cart that's a couple years old and given the terrain, I'm not positive my push cart + that would be a sufficient combo.
  17. Two current things I'm thinking about: Remote controlled motorized cart. Recently joined a club and love it. Cart isn't included so want to walk as much as possible. Course is extremely hilly so using a push cart is great, but feel like experience would be even more enjoyable not having to push. Stalking FB marketplace for deals because can't drop $1k+ on one Shot scope of some sort. Love data, concerned a bit about getting overwhelmed with thinking about it on the course. Think as I'm able to play more consistently, it could help a lot with my game.
  18. Curious on how many things folks are typically working on/thinking about at a time with their swing? Typically I'll head to the range and have one or two things I really want to focus on. A few swings in, I'll get another feel and start to think about that. And then I'll make really solid contact and try to recreate that. And by the end of the range session I'm leaving with 3 different things I want to focus on next time.
  19. Got out for a quick 9 yesterday. Game was total inverse of what it usually is, hitting every fairway off the tee and then being terrible around the green. If it's not one thing, it's the other. 48 (+12) 7/7 FIR (100%) 4/9 GIR (44%) [Last 4 greens] 19 putts (2 1-putts, 4 2-putts, 3 3-putts) Highlight: Obviously drove the ball really well today, hitting every fairway, finishing up with a birdie on 18 Room to improve: Just got to get more consistent. Finally getting back to being able to play more consistently and have to make that count.
  20. Update: Played 9 yesterday. 7/7 fairways. Shot 48. Driving the ball, the clear strength in my game.
  21. I wavered so much because everything is mediocre and so more went with the area where I feel most confident, which is chipping. Even thinking about the possibility of being confident off the tee is so foreign to me, I can't comprehend it. The unfortunate part is driver is consistently pretty solid on the range, which makes it difficult to figure out how to translate to the course.
  22. These are the most comfortable golf shoes I've worn and it's not particularly close
  23. Mind if I ask which app this is?
  24. After a bit of a layoff taking care of a sick family member, recently joined at a local club that's quite hilly so electric push cart would be a game changer. Seems the consensus is remote is great, but must have would be a gyro if so? Anyone have experience on particularly hilly courses and if that changes which are the best options in terms of stability and steep climbs/downhills/sidehills?
