About Me
Soon to turn 70 (now 72) and loving every minute of it. (Except for the arthritis). Golfing more than I ever have and turning into a bit of a golf club junkie, much to the chagrin of my much better half. I can't afford new clubs so I am always searching for an "experienced" bargain. Took up doing my own grips a long time ago and recently started removing and replacing shafts but with limited equipment it can be a bit of a struggle sometimes. My golf career started 50 years ago and continually wonder why I am not better? Having finally moved up to the gold tees this year as a birthday gift it made the game more fun as my scores are much better since I don't have to hit hybrids and 4 woods into par 4's!!! The best thing about golfing on the Olympic Peninsula is the fresh air and 12 months of golf (except in some extreme weather or the rare snow). I walk 99% of the time and hope I can walk forever because to me the essence of golf is being able to connect to the course as a part of nature and it's easier to watch the eagles soaring above without a roof over my head.
