  1. Had mine done on a Friday morning 33 years ago. Played 18 the next day and on Sunday and I walked both rounds. To be true, I was black and blue for about a week after.

    Seven wood anyone?

I carry both. See my signature.
  3. Graphite faces were tried over 25 years ago by Yonex, Yamaha and others. Time will tell but I would not touch one in the first year.
  4. Hi Sam: Good lucking set up in the bag. Mine has changed a lot in the last two years as I'm now 74 years old. Take a peek below. Ciao.
  5. Sorry, my context was not clear. I did not view the entire video. I'm sure Ryan was in favour of some fair charges for fittings.
  6. I've known Ryan for many years as we worked for the same company in the golf business. He knows the golf industry as well as anyone BUT, I will not agree with the idea of totally free fittings. In my 17 years a a Certified Custom Fitter at Golf Town I saw the pendulum swing in several directions regarding fittings. At one time I was doing $100, full bag fittings, and then the company promoted free fittings for 60 days. It was then that the vampires appeared. What is a golf vampire? It is someone who will suck every last drop of information from the free fitting and then rush home to scour the 'net for the best deal on what I recommended based on the hundreds of hours spent on PK's, video sessions and product seminars I attended put on by the OEMs. So in one swoop, fittings had no value as I could have sold $500-$1000 of gear in that hour to a customer who was ready to buy. To be sure, many customers honestly took my advice and bought from our store and that was much appreciated. When something becomes "free", it has little or no value.
  7. I was a Cerified Custom Fitter at Golf Town for 17 years, handled perhaps 100 warranty claims, and in my experience, no OEM considered paint chips caused by a sky mark to be a product defect and warranty issue. They are classified as operator error and/or wear and tear such as closing your trunk and nicking or breaking a shaft. This does not excuse CC for poor communications and trying to keep the $37 on the gift card. Shamefull.
