I have a cousin who is a PGA pro and will get my daughter some lessons in the future if she continues to show interest. Really I just want her to be able to enjoy what she can and start to love it.

I completeley agree. I don't want her to dislike it. She enjoys playing around with me and I think she would like to ride in the cart for 9 maybe. I would be willing to abandon the round if she got sick of it. She does have a plastic putter she loves to play with. Anytime I ahve my cklubs out she is trying to get balls and a club to swing. I figure my wife can't agrue too much if I am spending quality dad time bringing my daughter to the course. EDIT: I can't spell

My daughter is almost 3 and always asks to play golf with me. When I hit into the net in the back yard she chases balls and has tried to hit a few with my clubs. I'm thinking about getting her a kids set and letting her ride along on the course with me and maybe hit a few. How young is too young to bring your kid? I would only bring her to a par 3 course that is very kid friendly. For those of you that started your kid early, how did you do it?

Yea he could of even just been having a bad weekend or day. Truthfully I do not wish anything bad on anyone. I can only imagine how it would feel being 20 years old with those expectations.

Rory may have changed since then, this was 7 years ago. Again my interaction was brief but I always feel you can tell a lot about people by how they treat waitstaff, housekeepers, etc...

I worked at a restauarnt in a hotel a few years back. We had a PGA tour in town and a lot of the players ate in our restaurant. Jordan won the tournamanet and celebrated in the Private Dining Room, he was such a nice guy, treated all the servers well and even signed a few autographs. He has been one of my favorite players since. couldn't ask for a nicer guy. Rory on the other hand... I hope his next losing streak is twice as long as his previous one.

I watched a great video on developing a practice schedule. I took this guys spreadsheet and adapted it to myself changing some things around to best suit me. I like his idea of creating a google spreadsheet so you can update while you are at the course. I also got an net for my birthday last week so i can pratice at home. I am thinking about developing another spread sheet that would be more focused on net practice for the days that I can't make it to the range. With a new born due any day I imagine I am going to be spending a lot of time in my basement. Does anyone ahve any good drills they like to do at home or in a net? Practice Schedule video

Had a great day at the range today. Practice some drills I got from my coach which is helping to get rid of my slice and actually starting to get a slight draw. The best part was after the driving range I spent 2 hours practicing 20-30 yeard chip. The local course I go to was slow and only one other person was on the chipping/putting green while I was there. It helps in confidence if you don't ahve to worry about getting in someones way or shanking a ball while someone else is practicing.

I just started getting in to golf. I am missing Fairway woods or Hybrid clubs. What shoould I lookj for or what should I consider while searching for clubs? I am a vetrean and can get a pretty good discount on PXG and also 15% on Titleist I think. Thank you in advnace.
