  1. No big purchases in 2023. Just golf balls (Calaway ERC Soft/Srixon QSTAR TOUR/TM Soft Response(cold weather ball)). Also bought a few shirts, some shorts and a pair of shoes. In 2024 will probably replace my PING G Series 3, 4 & 5 hybrids. Also considering a new driver...currently smashing my PING G400 Max, but it is almost 4 years old. I tried a PXG Gen5, but did not perform like my PING...so also bought a driver that I ended up selling!!!
  2. Great comments and reviews. I played King Cobra IIs years ago when stationed in Japan. I was just getting serious about golf and loved them. I would consider the AeroJet driver and maybe the 3W and hybrids, but don't think I would change from my PING 425 irons.
  3. A man was addressing the ball when an announcement came over the loud speaker: “Will the gentleman on hole number one please not hit from the ladies’ tee box.” The man backs away, a little distracted, then approaches his ball again. As he does, the same announcement comes over the loud speaker. The man is getting irritated now, and after backing away from his shot, approaches his ball one more time. This time the announcement came: “We really need the gentleman on hole number one to move off of the ladies’ tee box!” To which the man turns around and yells: “And I really need the announcer to shut up and let me play my second shot!”
  4. Since I like all things golf related, the reviews and new release notices are great. The testing section is great as well. Everyday golfers testing golf items is the best way to do it. I don't want a professionals review all the time. I want the review of someone like me who shoots in the 70's and low 80's. I like the community feel of the site. We all love golf and like to talk about it all the more.
  5. If time allows, I will hit a bucket just to get warmed up. If more time, will practice precise shots toward targets. With only a short time to get warmed up, will swing weighted club and hit chips and putts. Putting and chipping is a must before the round.
  6. My most reliable shot is a fade, not a lot, but some movement left to right. I found that if I call my shot, even if just in my head, I can execute the shot visualized. I can hit a draw, although I most of the times it is on accident.
  7. I have used a ball for as many as 4 rounds, it all depends on the durability. No cart path hit, no bunker shots or other damages. I don't usually lose a ball, so that is not an issue. Oklahoma does get very windy, so sometimes the elements play a part.
  8. PING pretty much across the board. PING Driver, 3W's (14* and 16.5*), 3-5 hybrids and 425 irons (7-SW) Cleveland Lob wedge, Zipcore RTX YES! Callie or TaylorMade Spider GTX putter
  9. Very simple....a M H A around the # on the ball. My grandkids initials.
