  1. Sounds like a winner to me, that one definitely seems to suit what I would prefer in a ball as well.
  2. Burgers off the smoker made for a good easy dinner.
  3. Made some smoked Hasselback potatoes the other night, pretty pleased with how they turned out.
  4. Paradise Roasters Espresso Nuevo, my go to beans for espresso pulled through the Rok. 16g in to 34g out in 28 seconds.
  5. I’ve messed with Turkish coffee a few times but I’ve never had the “proper” equipment for it. Do have both a fairly modified electric burr grinder, couple manual burr grinders, and I believe I’m getting sent a ROK manual grinder to mess around with as well. As for the siphon/vacuum pot, they really do make a fantastic cup and are really enjoyable to see work. The cup is somewhere between the clarity of a good pour over and the body of a french press. I need to get back to roasting for myself again, been missing that.
  6. They are gorgeous in person and very tasty. The more sunlight these are exposed to during the day, the darker the fruits get. There are a ton of really unique varieties out there, these came from https://www.carmelbellafarm.com
  7. Speaking of homegrown tomatoes, patiently waiting for these gorgeous Black Beauty tomatoes to ripen.
  8. When in doubt….wrap it with bacon and smoke it .
  9. Sounds like exactly what my long hitting near sighted self needs .
  10. So I’ve been a bit of a chili head for a long time now, but I’ve always been the type that I won’t eat something just for the sake of it being hot. The flavor has so be on par with the heat for me otherwise I don’t see a point. So around 10 years ago all I could really find around here for hot peppers were common orange habaneros, which frankly I absolutely hate the flavor of. So I started to seek out alternatives and started to stumble across the world of “super hot” peppers, most of which I found had much better flavor than the orange habs when used properly. Been growing for myself every since, usually 4-6 different varieties each year. One of this years unexpected crosses I’ve decided to name Aloha Mama.
  11. French press, 3 and 6 cup Chemex, Hario V60, Yama stove top siphon pot, moka pot, Rok espresso press……. I have a problem .
  12. How long have you been playing golf? What’s your handicap or normal score? About 18 years now but I was away from the game for 5+ years due to several issues including multiple hand injuries. Finally got back to playing this year. Too early to establish a decent handicap again but I’m happy to keep it under 90 after such a long break . What do you love about golf? The skill involved both mentally and physically, being outdoors, and being able to spend the time with friends and family. What brings you to MyGolfSpy? Do you already know any other Spies? Been a lurker for quite a while now, especially during my time away from golf, and finally decided to join this year. And no, not yet. Where are you from? What is your home course? Northwest Oklahoma. Boiling Springs GC is my local 18. What are the best and worst things about golf in your region? Having a large diversity in terms of course types and layouts in a relatively close area, but wind and rattlesnakes are always present What do you do for a living? Lease Operator. How’d you pick your user name? Nickname I was given at a game night that just stuck. Used it across several platforms ever since.
