  1. Let’s just say the nickname for Lost Key is “Lost Ball”
  2. We are going there April 18! Was it in great shape??
  3. Are the tickets free or we just paying lottery price? If they are free it makes this much harder, but would probably still choose play.
  4. Not fixing ball marks on the green. You know if you left a ball mark on the green, fix it. Just look at it as your humble brag for hitting the green
  5. Looks like another corny version of Greg Norman’s line, but costs way more. Won’t be buying anything. Tiger was the man but he’s washed up now. No shame in that, happens to everyone.
  6. Oh man! All the Big Cedar courses are incredible. I played all of them in 2022. You need to play one of them somehow. My favorite was Payne’s Valley but I think it’s $350 a round now ha. Honestly the Jack Nicklaus par 3 is incredible. Over $100 to play but honestly worth it.
  7. Not sure how far you want to travel, but Old Waverly is a great option in West MS. Built on an old plantation and the house is the clubhouse. They also have Mossy Oak right next door as a second option for golf. Cabins on both courses too. Both are top 100 you can play in the US. Old Wavery
  8. What days are you in Vegas? I will be there on April 21st actually myself. Just curious. We are playing Conestoga and Wolf Creek in Mesquite as well. Good luck!
  9. I have not played in Myrtle Beach but have played two rounds in Hilton Head. In terms of stay, HHI is much cooler of a place and Myrtle Beach did not impress in terms of the actual town, seemed like I went back to the 70s New Jersey (in a bad way). I do not know how the courses are in Myrtle though, I am sure they are great. I played Fazio and Old South in Bluffton and loved both courses. The restaurants I have been to there are phenomenal as well (Coast is one of my favorite places). I know HHI is a little more expensive to stay there, I would imagine the courses cost about the same unless you are playing the Sea Pines courses. Palmetto Dunes is great to stay at as well. Either way, I am sure you will have a blast!
  10. Ha yeah that is true. Just seems a little tight for guys in a serious tournament that you may or may not know. “Even has WiFi” got me rolling
  11. I think it would be either Augusta, Old Head, or Pebble Beach for me. But I haven’t seen one yet I’d turn down…
  12. Gonna be honest, I looked up the Crow’s Nest and it does not seem as cool as I thought it would be. Ha. https://www.masters.com/en_US/news/articles/2022-04-03/masters_101_the_crows_nest.html
  13. Technically he is still the reigning US AM champ even though he’s not an amateur anymore. Does that affect anything there?
  14. Well Copper Rock is hosting a tourney as that was our first choice. And it’s already booked ha. Coral decent? Heard it is tough.
  15. I have always wanted to go to Sea Island, so I am interested to hear about your experience! We have an annual golf trip and this is the 4th year we have done it. 12 guys. We do a cheaper trip every other year and a nicer trip the other years. This year is a little nicer. We are going to St. George, Utah and playing Sand Hollow, The Ledges of St. George, Coral Canyon, and finishing up in Mesquite and playing Wolf Creek with a night in Vegas after that. Going in late April so hopefully the weather is great. I’ve never played desert golf so I am pumped for the opportunity!
  16. I love going to the golf travel section to see where everyone has been/going. Two of my passions.
  17. Thanks Matt. I am sure it is overblown, and it’s a golf trip anyway so not as worried about pace of play. Thanks!
  18. Question: what time of year did you go? We are going in late April. Did you feel like pace of play was good? Have heard it gets slow out there, but a lot of review forums can’t be trusted either (besides your review of course )
  19. Played Timberline the other day, short par 4, 280 or so. Me and two other guys. First guy gets up there and drives the green. Other buddy says “that’s the best shot I’ve ever seen on this hole” I reply “you watching?” as I tee it up. I then hit it 3-4 feet past my buddy. I then proceed to make a 30 foot eagle putt! 3rd eagle ever! (Don’t worry, I doubled the next hole to make up for it)
  20. Also, on top of all of this, rolling the ball back will put even more emphasis on distance in my opinion, not less. If you look at strokes gained, distance is a bigger deal for amateurs than it is for The pros believe it or not. I tend to think that’s because they all hit it pretty dang far already, even the “short” guys.
  21. With that being said, on a budget RTJ is a great option. Birmingham and Huntsville are both fun cities and have great courses around besides RTJ that you can play.
