Pro's & con's of different number of dividers
GatorJimbo replied to DStar's topic in Golf Bags & Carts
I currently use a Ben Hogan stand bag, 5-way full length dividers. Has plenty of storage, durable and good looking. Love it (even have a spare brand new one in a bag). I also have had a 14-way divider cart bag that I like a lot, but I'm not worried about picking the wrong club. It's more about storage, for me. Probably a good habit to look at the club you pull just to make sure you pulled the right now, regardless of which style bag you use. -
Where do you play (public vs private)?
GatorJimbo replied to Gavwlee's topic in Golf Courses & Travel
I’m so jealous. I live 90 minutes north of you in Alachua and we have so few courses, let alone quality courses. I enjoy the courses in your area. I play public courses here in the Gainesville area mainly because there’s nothing else. The university course is always in great shape. The one local private is too expensive and not my type (lots of condos, etc) -
Glad to have found this forum instead of something on social media!!! My name is Jimmy and I live in North Central Florida. I started playing golf back around 1997 and managed to get to an 11 handicap when I lived in the Fort Myers area (undoubtedly because there is a course around every corner!) I took a break around 2006 and have rediscovered my love for golf this year. So I'm hitting it hard and have a goal of becoming a single digit golfer. I've had Ping Eye2's in my bag for a couple of decades and have always loved them, but after hitting some other clubs, I have fallen in love with the new Hogan irons and woods. I will be making the switch as soon as they finish building them and ship them to me. Absolutely can't wait. In the mean time, I'm just practicing and playing as much as my job allows me to and for as long as the sun stays up
